Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

So very sorry to read about all your SAs, dear @Bow 😞

But they DON'T make you a bad person. The bad people were those who did that to you.

I wish I didn’t have to keep living with all these memories. Wish I didn’t have to keep remembering things that I don’t wanna remember. But I don’t see any other way out of this. No other way to make it all disappear.

I've read a lot about trauma, as I have my own sort of trauma...but in all cases I've read that if someone is able to open up in therapy, and talk through it and receive validation, even for serious crimes like SA and CSA perpetrated against you, you can achieve what you're wanting here. It doesn't disappear fully, but it has less impact, and people are able to move on with their life.

I've found that myself, and have received a measure of healing through it. Enough so I'm not constantly living out the trauma and it affecting my relationships badly. It still rears it head occasionally but not often.

I know however that it's very difficult to open up in therapy about these things. Do you think you could ask your therapist for suggestions on how to open up? Writing some of it down...art therapy...bringing in a song or poem or book or film that describes how you feel...?

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow , please don’t be sorry for sharing your story with us. I appreciate that you feel can share it as it is even if it’s been removed.

Its not coincidence at all this has happened to you because you are precious and it’s awful that those things have happened.

Your dietitian sounds amazing and I just wish you could see your worth as others do.

it’s hard to listen to those who believe in us because we seem to be wired up to believe the lies.

I will be praying for you as that is the most help I can offer you.

Lots of love
