My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

No no @tyme i do not want to go back to hospital. I can’t. Can’t be in that place again.

yes, I spoke with someone from the butterfly foundation today.

Re: My Mosaic

They would be the best to answer @Bow . I'm glad you could reach out to them.

Because as I said, I'm being truthfully honest, that I have very little understanding. I have understanding of BPD but not EDs.

i told her cause i dont want to see my body. she said thats normal. and everyone has that issue. i felt really invalidated

I'm upset for you that your case worker said that to you. Plus it's not true - I'm overweight and I don't feel that way. I like my overweightness. It's comfortable, comforting and warm and friendly. I like it on other people too.

I hope you can tell your CM that it's not true, what she said, and also that it was damaging and unhelpful.

Re: My Mosaic

Thank you @NatureLover for caring and for sharing some of your experience. I appreciate that.

@tyme I appreciate your honesty in acknowledging that you don’t understand EDs, that in itself is helpful, at least you don’t try to make out that you understand and you always validate what I am sharing and that means so much. So many people that I have come across try…. And they just end up saying stupid stuff and do more damage. I’m usually always open to questions to help people understand more. Thanks

Re: My Mosaic

I just read your last post @Bow. I’m sorry if I make you feel worse. I don’t mean too. I don’t fully understand it either and don’t mean to do damage.

Did you manage to get a shower?

Re: My Mosaic

No no no @Captain24 you have not made me feel worse and you have not done any damage. Not really referring to anyone here… more so people irl. 🤗

and no, I didn’t manage a shower 😩 and I have a gp appointment this afternoon.

Re: My Mosaic

That’s good. @Bow. But if I ever do please do let me know. It’s the last thing I want to do.

Maybe lots of deodorant! I also spray it on my clothes. That’s what I do when I have an appointment and haven’t showered.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Eve7 @Captain24

yes I spray a lot of deodorant too! Everywhere!

im not expecting this gp appointment to be too difficult… I hope. I had my bloods done at the beginning of the week. Electrolytes and liver function. My LF has been a bit out recently but she’d usually call if anything was major wrong. It will just be the usual check in questions that I may struggle with.

I also need to get a new referral for my gynae oncologist which I have a check up for next month. He wanted me to have a really detailed … and expensive ultrasound done in preparation to have a hysterectomy done. They do these type of ultrasound on women who have had endometriosis to check and make sure it hasn’t spread to other part of the body. His just gonna have to accept a usual ultrasound (need to get the referral for that too) cause I don’t have the hundreds of dollars it’s gonna cost. My endometriosis is very mild anyways. Big decision to agree to have everything taken out. I’ve known for years that I would eventually have to make this decision. But doesn’t make it any easier.

Big decisions @Bow

I had everything removed when I was younger than you. It was very traumatic but once I got over it all life was much better. Just need to take hrt until you hit 50.

Sitting with you 💙🦋💙
