My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

@Snowie i did ask the nurse and she said I was still due to see the pdoc. I guess I didn’t see my pdoc until like 7:30pm on Monday so there is still time.

@Captain24 my daughters school has a big field and a playground next to it. So they open up some of the gates and different age groups run different distances around the school and this field. Last year was the first time she did cross country, and she ran so well until she got a stitch…. The first time she’d ever got a stitch and it scared her. So I prepped her this year.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Eve7 just laying in bed. It went ok I guess. My blood pressure was all over the place afterwards apparently. And waking up in recovery was a horrible experience. My body is achy and my head hurts.

a cuppa sounds nice though

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow glad you made it through your first session of ECT. Hopefully they get a little easier as you get more used to them. Recovery is really different. I either woke up really good or really bad, nothing in between.

You should be allowed something to eat and drink now so hoping that you get something.

Around for awhile if you want to chat.

Re: My Mosaic

They actually gave us breakfast in recovery @Snowie nurse asked what I wanted and she went down and got it from the dining room. Really hurts to eat though. I just went and made myself a cuppa.

I was really teary in recovery. You get like that @Snowie ?

Re: My Mosaic

I hope the cuppa helps @Bow At least if you can't eat you are keeping your fluids up.

I have got teary in recovery before @Bow Once I woke up angry but thankfully that was just a once of. I find our inhibitions are down and we express our emotions more freely when waking up. I think the nurses would be used to people waking up lots of different ways.

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah, that’s true eh @Snowie . And people wake up at different speeds too I guess. I remember them wheeling another patient in next to me into recovery and she was up and moving well before me! It was weird, it was like I could hear myself moaning but it wasn’t me… was like an outta body experience.

my mum just called… my sister in law might be bringing my daughter in for a visit this afternoon, which will be nice!

Re: My Mosaic

They do wake at different speeds too @Bow I think the meds they give you to go to sleep effect all of us so differently.

That will be so good if your daughter is able to come in and see you. I'm sure she would love that too. I know you speak to her a lot but it's not the same as giving her a big cuddle.
