My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Wasn’t expecting to see the pdoc until tomorrow due to the time that I arrived here but he has just been around to see me. I will start ECT either Wednesday or Friday. I have to see another pdoc to have them sign off on it, hopefully that will be tomorrow.
Pdoc also stopped my mood stabiliser that I started last week… cause it’s an anti epileptic drug too.
I’ve just spoke to my mum and daughter and been to make myself a chai.

@creative_writer glad to hear that perhaps you are feeling a little better tonight? How did you go with your assignments?

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow, I wish you the best for ECT. I hope you enjoy your chai.

I really struggled to get much done due to the hangover from the agitation. I need to rest and sleep off this heavy head

@Bow hoping today has been a little better for you and that the group went well. I hope your fidget toy helped 💜💜

Re: My Mosaic

Group was ok @Snowie I managed to stay in the room for all the sessions but my gosh it was hard. And in the last session I cried! Urgh. It was on resilience and the psychologist read a quote and it hit hard. Gonna see if I can find it….

This is the exact image she shared. The psychologist was actually really lovely. I had met her before in the public system, she took a couple of the DBT groups. She checked in with me at the end of the group and we chatted for a bit. Cause she works in public health too she knows my old psych, so understood the grief that I am still experiencing from that. She encouraged me to attend as many groups as I could while I am here to get the most out of it and we also talked about doing the DBT course again through public health.

I had some lunch and just had an ECG and now just need some time to myself. I’m going to stay in my room and do some painting.

@Snowie how are you doing my friend?

@outlander so lovely to see you. How are you?

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

That quote certainly hits home and is so true hon. I find talking about resilience hard too.

I'm glad you got to talk to the psych afterwards. Hopefully she helped just a tiny bit.

Hopefully they are on track to start your ECT soon. At least you have had your ECG.

I am still struggling but that seems the norm lately, which in unfortunate. I see my gp tomorrow morning so hoping I have the courage to ask her for more help. Hopefully I won't chicken out. I know I need to talk to her also about my eating habits. They seem to be getting worse.

Re: My Mosaic

Can you complete that questionnaire I posted the link for and print out the results and give it to your gp @Snowie ? Maybe that will be an easier way to bring up how much you are struggling with your eating. She will most likely be familiar with the questionnaire anyways as it’s completed as part of an eating disorder support plan that gps complete.

Re: My Mosaic

I did the questionnaire @Bow I didn't really like the results.

How has your afternoon been?

Re: My Mosaic

I didn’t like my results either @Snowie !! When I sat there in my gps room a couple of weeks ago and check ‘every day’ to almost every questions I was taken aback. I didn’t think I was still that bad. 😩

my afternoon has been ok. I spent some time doing a little painting. I was going to go to the sensory group at 3pm, but I either missed the start of it or was lost. So just went back to my room and read some of my book. I finished Grace Tames book and have just started on Spare.

how has your afternoon been @Snowie ?

Re: My Mosaic

Glad you did some painting @Bow

I hope the book is good, I will be interested to know what you think of it and if it is worth reading.

My afternoon has been ok. Took D to an appointment. Now they are both at work. H is picking them up so will be in my pj's soon.
