My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

That does sound nice @Snowie … a cuppa in bed. I’d even go a cuppa tea! But I don’t like them either. When I am sick with a cold is when I most wished I drank tea. Something non milky that’s nice and hot.

Does your hubby know about your eating habits? Do you think you could be brave and ask him to put them away somewhere? Or maybe take the batteries out and bin them? Hopefully they are those button batteries and you don’t usually have spares laying around the house.

Re: My Mosaic

It doesn't happen much that I have a cuppa in bed but when I do it is a nice moment.

No hubby doesn't know about my eating habits. I haven't had the courage to tell him. I know I need too, but to even bring it up seems really hard at the moment. I have spoken to my psych and my pdoc about it. I will talk about it again when I see my psych in a couple of weeks.

Re: My Mosaic

Sounds like a rough day @creative_writer those kinda days where ya gotta fight with everything to stay can be so exhausting. I’m glad that you have an appointment with some of your supports tomorrow.

Re: My Mosaic

Do you think maybe he knows but doesn’t know how to talk about it @Snowie ? Does he not notice how little you eat and the weight you have lost?
Is he good at talking with you about your mental health? Like will he bring things up? My mum isn’t very good at it. We have never been very good at talking about serious stuff like that. She will ask if I am ok if she notices that I am feeling low or something. But that’s probably the extent of it. Ive shut her down too much because I don’t like to talk about it.

Re: My Mosaic

He is very supportive @Bow in many different ways. I am very lucky to have him and his support.

He probably has noticed my weight loss but I do shut him out of a lot of things. It is not his fault, it is mine. I know I need to talk to him about more and let him in more. It is just really hard to start opening up.

Going to pick S up from work and then go to bed myself.

I hope you get some sleep tonight and get some answers tomorrow.

Take care hon 💗💗

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow, i really need to get a move on though, uni assignments are there 😰. My brain won’t shut off from SI, feelings of hopeless and frustration over how things have ended up and how I don’t understand why it has been feeling worse lately and even trauma memories in the mix. I can at least talk to someone tom, and SANE will be open tom too

Have you been up to much tonight?

Re: My Mosaic

It’s super hard to concentrate on anything else when our heads are in that horrible dark place eh @creative_writer ? Our thoughts, memories, flashbacks… they all suck! I don’t really have any suggestions really…. I’m sorry! I just know that I have to keep myself busy when I am like that. I exercise or I paint. Doesn’t really stop what goes on in my head, just keeps me busy from acting on them thoughts.

do you think you need a med review? What are you diagnosis’s if I may ask?

I haven’t really been up to much tonight. I crawled into bed once I got back from leave. I had dinner- it wasn’t very nice tonight. Oriental chicken and rice. And I wasn’t very hungry anyways- I don’t think I’ve drank enough today.

My body has been aching tonight. I have fibromyalgia too. It’s pretty mild and doesn’t usually give me much grief. But maybe being a bit more active today…. Or the change in weather. But my joints and muscles have ached. I asked for pain killers and I think that and being in a warm bed has helped. The nurse that checked me back in and went through my bags said that it was such a good idea bringing in my own blanket! Hospital blankets aren’t very warm.

I’ve had my iPad on… currently watching Lego masters. Got another hour until meds and when I have to hand in my phone and iPad. I hate having to hand them in, it feels so restricting and takes away my contact with the outside world. But at the same time it’s kinda been nice. I’ve been reading of a night and in the morning. Gotta hand them in between 9pm and I think it’s actually 9am, but I ask for them at 8am and they give them to me, which is good cause I like to FaceTime my daughter before she goes to school…. And she just FaceTimed me before bed ❤️

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow, I’ll be meeting with pdoc on Wednesday. My Pdoc is new, will see what he comes up with. I’ve written some notes that I intend to use during the session. I’ve been diagnosed with a mood disorder, social anxiety, cptsd. I hope your fibro symptoms settle down. I’ve been achy and swollen lately too, not sure why since I’m undiagnosed, but GP is trying to figure it out.

I can see how it would feel restricting to have to hand it in. I hope you get a good opportunity to talk to D before bed and before school and rest well tonight 💖

@NatureLoverthank you. I feel like my biggest triggers are changes in daylight and trauma. I really need to find a way to heal from trauma. I hope you are doing well ❤️

Sorry to hear your SI has been so problematic and you are just trying to stay alive at the moment @creative_writer ...also about your trauma 😞

Sending wishes for the SI to ease and for you to be able to concentrate on your studies 💙

I'm doing OK thanks.
