My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow I can understand that will your ex hon. It is hard enough telling the people close to us why we are in, let alone others.

I have heard of Grace Tame but haven't read her book. You will have to tell me how it is and if it's worth reading.

I am ok hon. Got a new tattoo today.

I hope you get some sleep tonight and tomorrow is a little better for you 💗💗

Re: My Mosaic

Oh I need to book my tattoo in @Snowie obviously will have to wait now though! What is your new tattoo of?

so far the book is good, it’s about her life and she shares snippets of the abuse. She also had an eating disorder. I like to read autobiography books. Like to read how people have overcome difficult things in their life. I also have paris hiltons new book. I will read that next. I have been reading in the morning, always get woken up early by nurses so I read until breakfast arrives and then I read in bed of a night once devices have been taken until I get sleepy. I think I will buy another book when I go out on leave on Sunday. Not sure what one though. I wish I could read novels but I would forget too many details.

do you have weekend plans??

Re: My Mosaic

My new tattoo is of a butterfly and roses @Bow It is on my ankle. I have posted a photo on my thread, so will tag you in it.

I love autobiographies too, they are the only books that I read.

Not many plans for the weekend hon. Just ferrying the kids to work and home. Was going to try and go shopping with D tomorrow morning if she gets up early enough!! She has to work at lunch time tomorrow.

Re: My Mosaic

@Snowie I’ve just had a quick look at bigw and what books they have available and have put a few in my cart, so will go pick those up on Sunday. I’m trying to decide whether to get ‘spare’ by harry. Id be interested to read what he has to say, but not sure I would believe it all.

I’ve also ordered a heap of new paint by numbers. I’ve been doing heaps in here. And I’ll grab another one that I have at home when I go home Sunday, hopefully that will keep me busy until my online order comes through.

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow I have looked at buying his book too. I'd be interested in what he says, but like you not sure how much of it I would believe.

It sounds like the paint by numbers help you and keep you occupied too. I saw Aldi had them in their special sales this week too. I might go check them out on the weekend.

Re: My Mosaic

@Snowie I heard a quote by him recently that said that he believes that he was only ever conceived incase something happened to his brother. I don’t believe that, his mother loved both those boys dearly. I think his Mrs has turned him into an entitled spoilt brat. Just my opinion!

How are you today @Snowie ??

im tired and headachy today so had breakfast and crawled back into bed. It’s really noisy here at the moment …. It gives me a lot of anxiety. 2 patients causing a lot of fuss. Wanting to go home, wanting to be let out. Screaming and yelling and swearing. Wanting stuff. My room is the closest to the nurses station so there is no escaping it.

Re: My Mosaic

I hope you are able to get some peace today @Bow It must be hard with so much happening around you. Maybe this new hospital might be a lot quieter. Can you get something for the anxiety at all or do you have some headphones you can use?

You must be looking forward to tomorrow.

I am okish today. My mood is really low but I am trying to just get through the day. It is exhausting. We are meant to go out for tea with some of H's friends. Last thing I want to do.

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow, noise can definitely make one more anxious. I hope your headache eases up 💖🫂 . How are you feeling right now?

Re: My Mosaic

I think they have moved one of them upstairs, so it’s a little more quiet. There is one guy that says the same phrase over and over again, which is really triggering. He walks the corridor saying it.

I’ve been painting most of the day… and watching Netflix. My head feels fine now, I asked for paracetamol earlier on.

how are you doing now @Snowie @creative_writer

I am very much looking forward to tomorrow and seeing my daughter. Have been making a list of things that I wanna pack from home and a list of things that I wanna go buy.

Re: My Mosaic

Glad it is a little quieter in there now @Bow

I am so glad you have tomorrow to look forward too. It will be so nice to spend that time with your daughter. I am sure she can't wait either.
