Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Snowie I did something really stupid last night. But here I am. Still here. Not been an ok few days, but I have community mh checking in with me a lot, which I appreciate.

today has been a struggle, especially after last night. I stayed in bed late. Struggled to get up. But once I was up, daughter reminded me about her ears. She was going to get her ears pierced ‘after Easter’. So we went and did that today. She was super brave. I got my third lobes and another one done too. Bit sore tonight. But the pain is oddly satisfying.

I'm glad you are still here hon @Bow and that you have community mh checking in with you. You deserve to be cared for and deserve someone who cares about you.

I'm sure you daughter loves her ears pierced. Such a big step for them. I still remember when my daughter got her first's done. Sounds like it was something you and you daughter could do together. I'm sure she will remember that for years to come.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Snowie

i had a really good community mh worker come visit on Friday. He knew me, knew what to ask. He passed on the correct information to the team who did the home visit yesterday. He then called again today and checked in with me, knew what to ask. He asked what I had done today, I wasn’t overly honest, couldn’t let on what I did last night, but did say that I had been to the shops. He musta known what I did a couple of weeks ago so asked if I had purchased anything that I shouldn’t have.
My CM is not in tomorrow, but someone will call.

I was so proud of her. They did both of hers at the same time, which was good. She cried a little, but got a lollie pop and she was right. Then she got to sit and watch me get mine done. I have 12 piercings now! I got my naval done when I was 18, but took it out when I had ovarian cancer due to the constant scans I had to have. But managed to put a ring back through it last year. All the rest are ears. I’d love to get my tongue or lip done, but not brave enough!

im going to get a tattoo soon. Something that I wanted to do for my 40th.

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow I'm glad they asked the right questions. It seems like the home visits are a good support for you. I hope it continues for your sake and that the right people continue to visit you. You deserve all the support you can get.

Your daughter seemed to go well hon. Nothing a lollie pop can't fix! I'm sure there was a big smile on her face after she saw them in the mirror. Wow that is a lot of piercings hon. I have a few but not that many. I do have my tongue done. Got it done in my 20's so have had it for over 20 years now. I also have one of my arms fully tattooed and another 2 tattoos also. They all have a specific meaning to them. Have already booked in for a couple of weeks away for my next tattoo. Some people cannot deal with the pain. I actually quite like it. I hope you are able to book in soon for your tattoo.

Re: My Mosaic

Oh you have your tongue @Snowie ! That is super cool. I’ve watched a few being done on TikTok, and people rating the pain and swelling afterwards. I had a friend years ago have one and she use to take the stud out and poke all sorts a things through it. I thought it was heaps cool. Mum would be horrified if I got it done!

and your tattoos! My brothers has a lot! When he was really rebellious in his teens he made his own tattoo thing and would tattoo all sorts over his body. They looked horrible. He has fixed most of them up now and they look a bit better, but they are all skulls and dark stuff. He did however get his fiancé and daughters initials behind his ear which was nice. I’d like ‘hope’ in really fine line on my wrist- have always wanted that. And then my daughters name on my ribs- been told that hurts a lot. That’s all I want. I’ve been following a local tattoo place on Instagram, and really like one of the artists that does fine lines, so will go in and talk with them and book it in soon.

Re: My Mosaic

I like tattoo's @Bow as a way of expressing myself. To me they all have a meaning. I didn't get them done just to get one. I have one that I need fixed up which will be happening in a few weeks and at the same time getting one on my ankle with hubby's name.

It sounds like the ones you want have real meaning behind them. I haven't got one on my ribs but have also heard that it hurts a lot. But them again I thought my elbow would hurt a lot but it didn't.

I do have one on my wrist that has saved my life quite a few times. Looking at it and remembering why I got it has stopped me from doing something I shouldn't.

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah, I have been thinking about mine for many years @Snowie . I always use to be so against them, but my views have changed over the years and have given a lot of thought into what I want.
