My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Hi @Bow

I hope you can get to the group. It sounds good. I love that you bought your daughter a rose! So sweet, she'll love it.

Hugs

Re: My Mosaic

Well I went to my arts and craft group. It was a paint and sip session. It was ok. I was the only person there other than the 2 workers.

We had palliative care come out this afternoon. I’m really struggling with all the uncertainty of all of this. The not knowing. Mum made the comment last week that she felt that it wouldn’t be long. But then today she asked the palliative care team about getting a hospital bed and they said that they don’t generally approve that until the person is in their final 3 months. Sigh

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow,

I'm glad the arts and craft group was okay - sometimes a break from the norm can be a little helpful.

My heart goes out to you and your family as my dad died a couple of years ago after a long illness. I'm not sure if you know the term anticipatory grief but it is a term that helped me better understand how I was feeling around my dad's illness before he passed.

I also struggled with the uncertainty of it all - sitting with you and understanding a bit around how you are feeling.

Warm wishes,

FloatingFeather

Re: My Mosaic

The all consuming intense hatred that I have for myself is deafening.
The abuser inside of me screaming harsh and violent words at me.
The hideous monster in the mirrors reflection.

Haunted sad eyes staring back at me.

The gross and hefty figure standing there

I’m repulsive and frightful

grotesque and unsightly

don't anyone dare look at me

you’ll be blinded by the horrendous sight.

and please don’t say it’s all lies

The deep seeds of self hatred are agonisingly true.
