My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

We went to the beach today. My psychologist encouraged me to do something nice and I told her that we were wanting to go to the beach over the holidays. She told me to tell my daughter and that as an excited kid she would keep me accountable! And that she did! She was up early and ready to go.

I do enjoy being at the beach, just don’t enjoy getting all sandy and wet! We had shade, so I sat under the umbrella reading a book while my daughter played in the sand and water- don’t worry, I looked up every couple of sentences to check in her! We go to a great family friendly beach that has a lagoon, perfect for kids to splash in the water.

We spent the majority of the day there, not long ago getting home and collapsing into bed. Im a bit burnt too- oops! We could have stayed longer, I particularly love the beach of an evening.

@Bow sounds like you had a lovely time at the beach. Being out and connecting to nature can be very therapeutic and can break up the negative spiral. I hope today is going okay for you too ❤️.

Thanks @creative_writer yes yesterday was lovely. We really do need to go to the beach more often.

today is going ok. Just having a quiet day at home, but am keeping myself busy.

@Bow I think going to the beach often would be nice. What have you been up to today?

I am just laying low. I feel like I’ve caught something, but not covid. Slowly getting better though.

I had a bit of a sleep in this morning… well not really a sleep in, more of a lay in. Told daughter not to come in and disturb me, it was nice.

I got on the treadmill for a while, I’ve been watching Ginny and Georgia on Netflix while I walk- I’ve been enjoying it. I did some washing, cleaned my room a bit, did some tie dying with my daughter and now I am on the bike watching Netflix again- I watch something different while on the bike, currently rewatching designated survivor.

sorry that you have been feeling unwell. Have you done much today @creative_writer ?

My mum has been out, might watch something with her when she comes back with her and my sister. Haven’t been up to much, made a quick lunch, been keep up fluids, having some matcha with ginger right now and mostly resting.
