Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

I can't answer that one for you @Bow - but for me, it got easier when I least expected it.... and maybe that's why it surprised me to so much

Re: My Mosaic

Hearing you @Bow - I hear the pain, the tiredness. It really takes me back to not very long ago when I also found myself in that space.

Tight hugs for you. I’m here. You are not alone.

What did you do @tyme ?

Re: My Mosaic

I’m not sure. I think I gave up on trying so hard @Bow . I learnt that every time I ‘tried’, I actually causing myself to go backwards.

I threw myself into therapy and just did what they said even when it was hard. I learnt to ignore what I would naturally want to do, and did what was logically ‘right’. E.g when I felt very low, I made myself get out and be with people (my natural instinct is to hide)

But this was my experience. It’s not the same for everyone.

Re: My Mosaic

I went out tonight. End of year dessert night with the ladies from church. Please don’t celebrate the fact I went out, it’s not worth it. I sat in my chair, hardly spoke. Wished I didn’t go. Home now and have crawled into bed feeling incredibly alone and depressed
