Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

nice to see you two leaning on each other. I hope you both get some restful sleep tonight and that tomorrow's sun brings some hope for you both.

Take care,

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow I'm glad your psychologist appt went better than you expected 🙂

Volunteering doing the gift wrapping sounded like a fantastic idea for you! Pity it's too far away 😞

Hoping today is OK for you... 💜

Re: My Mosaic

Really feeling the pressure of having to be well today. The weight of everyone else’s health conditions. Their conditions can’t be helped. They have no control over them.

Mum needs to take it easy now. The house is a total mess. I need to get to work and tidy up. Clean the mess that my daughter has made, but I just have no energy or motivation to do it. My mum has a really big market this Saturday. One that she has been prepping for for months. I said that I would do it for her if needed, but the dr said she can do it, but no heavy lifting or anything. So I will help her still. She also needs to go see her gp as a follow up from being in hospital. I will need to take her.

My step dad is still really unwell. His good days are getting less and less. More bad. He needs to have a medical done to renew his licence, which we are all expecting him not to pass. Which will mean extra weight on me. I will be the only one that drives.

Maybe this is karma? Karma for the grief that I have put everyone else through the last couple of years.

i desperately want to restrict to have some kind of control, but I know that I can’t. I can’t do that to my folks.

I’m terrified that if I end up back in hospital that my daughter will be taken off me. It really scares me.

Hey @NatureLover

I currently have Covid for the third time and this one is the worst I’ve had it.

Re: My Mosaic

I’m sorry it’s getting so hard for you @Bow.

Its difficult as our parents age and need extra help. Do you have any siblings? Could you look at it as a reason to try and stay well?

One days when I have no motivation or energy I write myself a list of things I need to do. I make it as simple as possible. I break it down into little tasks. Such as make my bed 5mins clean the kitchen bench 10 mins. It doesn’t seem as overwhelming. If I’m really bad I make the list for different tasks on different days. As I do it I cross it off. Even if it’s only a couple of things at least I’ve accomplished something. I don’t know if this helps.

Is your daughter old enough to start to clean up after herself? Can she tidy up her own room?

Thinking of you.

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah I have 2 brothers @Captain24 one lives in tassie and has his own health issues, so he is of no help. And then I have my younger brother who has just started his own family. He hasn’t even been to see mum. They have their own lives. It’s all left up to me. The folks live with me, I don’t work much, so it’s my responsibility.

i have my own appointments this week. Plus I need to take mum to a couple and my step dad to a couple.

😩

Re: My Mosaic

That’s hard @Bow. My brother has already said that when it comes time for mum and dad to need help it’s my problem.

Hopefully being so busy will keep you distracted but you do need some time for some self care for yourself. Even if it’s sitting down with a chai latte and a good book or something
