I didn’t see the dietitian today. I thought after me pulling the tube out yesterday might result in an earlier visit instead of the planned Wednesday visit, but no.
My gastro dr did speak to her though and I need to have the tube put back in. I need it to ensure I get adequate nutrition as I’m not at a point in my oral intake for me to stay well. Frustrating. And my dr has agreed that home by the end of this week is not possible. But they will speed things up a little, but want to make sure that I stay well once home, so want to do recovery well.

My mum and daughter just left. So I will have the NG tube put back in shortly, we decided to let me enjoy my time with them. Which was nice. It will mean another trip down to xray later tonight though, my second one today.

Im disappointed. Disappointed in myself. Angry with myself.

It sounds so frustrating @Bow. Did you end up getting your water today?

I’m sorry that the NG tube has to go back in but at least they gave you time with your mum and daughter. I’m sure you were glad to see them.

It seems like they are trying to help you recover and to help you to be able to maintain your recovery longer.

I know it’s not much but I am thinking of you and sitting with you through this.

Sorry to hear that you have to have the NG tube back in. Sometimes it feels like one step forward two steps back.

How was your mum and daughter today? What did you do with them?

no I didn’t get my water today.

We just sit and talk when my mum and daughter come in. My daughter always brings a few things to do… toys, colouring, snacks. She also usually ends up playing on my iPad- today we sat and watched funny cat videos.

my NG is back in now. Just waiting for the X-ray and then they will restart the feeds.

Just got back from my X-ray. Hospitals are so quiet this late at night. Now just need to wait for after hours dr to review the X-ray to make sure the ng is in the right place and then my feeds will start again 😩

im about to settle in and watch the good doctor…. If I stay awake!

I’ve heard that’s very good 👨‍⚕️ and I really like that actor.

I just moved houses today, so I am just looking at everything that needs to be done 🤯. I just put on some music and am just starting to wind down 🌀
