My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow , I was thinking, with this substandard and dangerous "care" you've been getting in hospital, would there be any way that your own specialists could write some sort of Hospital Plan for the doctors at the hospital, that you could keep at home...then you could take lots of photocopies of and hand to the hospital doctors at an admission? Hand a copy to every doctor you see at the hospital, plus the hospital dietician, I mean?

Like, your name and diagnosis at the top, then a list of things like no fluid restrictions - 2 bottles of water a day, small meals but a nurse to stay with you while you eat them, locked toilets for however long after the meal, need to see dietician daily (or whatever the best protocol is), not being put in a room with men because of your trauma, these are your medications, and these are the phone numbers of your psychologist, your ED specialist, your GP /care manager, the Sydney inpatient clinic, etc...

Maybe even a one page spreadsheet printout as well, with columns for Date, Treatment, and a column for a Tick if it happens (like a column for the 2 bottles of water a day, and you can tick it yourself). That way you have some proof if you ever need to make a complaint!

Re: My Mosaic

That’s not a bad idea @NatureLover my dietitian at least said that there should be a plan for them to contact her…. That’s when the insertion of the NG tube was really delayed recently.

thanks @Snowie

I seen a much nicer dietitian today. She is going to increase my oral intake some more. With the plan to get me home as soon as possible but just not in time for this weekend unfortunately.

Re: My Mosaic

After seeing a different dietitian yesterday I had hoped that things would start moving a bit quicker, but am disappointed this morning to find out that they have only adjusted one meal- breakfast. 😩

Hey @Bow and @Snowie

I love seeing that even though both of you are struggling this week, you can still each out and be there for each other. I feel so privileged to be part of all of this. You guys blow me away 💜
