My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Thank you for sharing that with me @Bow .

It sounds really difficult and to not ‘fit the look’ so it gets brushed off. I hope you find the strength to see yourself from the inside first. Hopefully staying medically stable will help with some confidence. I don’t know if that works though.

I have body image issues but I think that is due to just hating everything about myself.

You have been a great support for me during my journey so it shows that you are a beautiful person.

Be kind to yourself

Re: My Mosaic

@Captain24 thank you

and Oh I get the whole hating everything about yourself…. Me too. Think it makes my whole issues with my body image worse.

Think I just had a little mini revelation about EDs and medical people…

The mini revelation is good @Bow

Re: My Mosaic

Sorry you've had a tough week with the body image stuff @Bow 😞

I'm guessing the priority at the moment is being well enough to go away on your big trip, so well done for ensuring that 👍 But I guess it also means the feeling of repulsion 😞

I'm sorry also that you felt unheard last week 😞 That really sucks.

What day is it that you leave? I hadn't realised it was so close!

Sending 💜

Hoping that today is a better day for you @Bow . Keep staying strong and be kind to yourself.

It must only be days until you go. What an exciting trip to look forward too.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Captain24 @NatureLover

yes not long, Tuesday week, the 9th we fly out.

hopefully a better day today. Mum seems to be in a better mood, so that helps. I’m a bit tired, it’s cold, cloudy here today so no sunshine as I sit in my bike. Should of gone to church but couldn’t be bothered today. Will go next week before we leave.
See my psychologist tomorrow, my ED psychiatrist on Tuesday and my gp Tuesday afternoon. Hopefully will be able to get my meds sorted for the trip. Regular Psychiatrist wrote my gp a letter as she was a bit concerned about giving me all my meds… so psychiatrist and case manager has reassured her I’m ok. Hopefully that will be enough.

hope that you both have a good day 💕

Re: My Mosaic

Glad your feeling a little better @Bow and that your mum is in a better mood. I see a lot of my mum and her mood always affects me.

Hoping that the clouds clear for you. It was -3 here this morning so hopefully that is a sign of a nice day.

Sounds like you have a big couple if days I hope you have something gentle planned for the evenings.

Sun is starting to shine through the clouds here. Logged onto church online this morning, listening while on my bike.

Re: My Mosaic

Glad you went online. I’ve been really slack at going but really should.

Im from central NSW. It’s a pretty rural town, has about 10000 people town the closest big town is 1.5 hrs away @Bow

Re: My Mosaic

I’ve been really slack too @Captain24 . Our church has changed a lot over the last couple of years. We had a change of leadership and things are very different now. my old pastors… who are like my second family, decided to step down and to focus on travelling ministry, they are on the wider network team, so get invited to speak in other churches a lot. Young couple took over leadership. Old pastors still go, but obviously away a lot.
i work for my church too, few hours a week doing admin kinda stuff. Social media, PowerPoint, website stuff.
Its all just changed heaps. And not sure I 100% like it.

And a lot of people just haven’t come back since covid. But it’s all I know. I didn’t grow up here, originally from tassie, so church is pretty much all I know, my connections are there. I’ve worked, have some work mates, but it’s been nearly 7 hrs since I’ve worked and haven’t really kept in touch with many.

anyways, just rambling. 🙂
