My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Thank you for thinking of me @Bow

Just got home and now have a probable diagnosis of Bipolar II. Now to process that.

Hope your day is better than yesterday.

Re: My Mosaic

How are you feeling about that diagnosis @Captain24 ? Do you feel like it fits?

with some of my diagnosis I felt a sense of relief. That there was an answer to why I was feeling the way that I was. And some possible targeted medication for it.

Re: My Mosaic

I’m really unsure of how I’m feeling @Bow . It’s kind of a relief to have a possible answer and why the anti-depressants aren’t working.

The research I’ve just been doing it does look like a classic fit. Hopefully the new treatment and removing the ad will help to stabilise me.

Still have so much to process and so many more questions now. I have a gp app this afternoon so hopefully she can answer some of them.

Just hoping it’s inwards and upwards from here.

Thanks for your support

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Captain24 @NatureLover im doing mostly ok. It’s been a rough week in regards to my ED, just had a lot of bad body days I guess. I’m still doing the right things and eating properly so I maintain medical stability, but it’s been real hard. I’m be attempted to talk to a number of different people about it but have walked away feeling really unheard and invalidated. So sitting with a lot on my own I guess.

Counting down the days until we leave now. It’s getting close.

thanks for popping by 💕

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow

Im sorry you feel unheard.

I have to be honest and say I don’t really understand ED. If you are doing the right things and eating properly will that help you get past the bad body moments?

Are the bad body moments due to the anxiety of the massive trip you are going on? It must be close to just a week to go. Do you have everything ready, packed and sorted? Or is there anxiety about the last minute things?

Im sitting with you and am here if you need to chat.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks for being honest @Captain24 Eating disorders are so complex. I’ve come across a lot of medical and health professionals that really don’t understand them. And those that try to, fob me off cause I’m not your ‘typical’ looking ED sufferer.

in my journey, I’d like to educate people, cause sadly, they are actually really common, just a lot go undiagnosed cause of the stigma attached and cause of how complex they are. I’m still learning, trying to understand myself better. I don’t fully always understand why I do the things that I do.

I guess if I eat and do the right thing I will eventually learn…. Maybe…. To accept my body. But I don’t know. Don’t know if that will ever be possible. But eating and drinking and doing the right thing will ensure my medical stability, and that’s the main thing at the moment.

the bad body days are cause I’m eating more regularly and I’m putting on weight. I lost a fair bit in the beginning of my ED and now I’m putting it all back on. And I’m really struggling with that. I hate how my body is changing. I am repulsed by it. But I can’t go back to restricting cause that makes me medically unstable and at risk of hospitalisation.

thank you for showing an interest. That means a lot to me. 💕
