My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

I’m home squeezing my little girl. Think everyone is a bit surprised I’m home. But they have increased one of my meds and given me something else to help me sleep.

Happy to hear you are home with your loved ones for easter @Bow 🙏💝

Please do everything within your power to stay safe. 🌷🌻

After a meeting with my psychiatrist and my lovely registrar on Tuesday evening, I think I am in hospital for another couple of weeks. 😔 That gets me out just before my sister arrives for a visit.

Hi @Anastasia @Snowie @Eve7 @creative_writer 💞

Re: My Mosaic

Oh a good nights sleep in my own bed was amazing. Probably helped by the adjustment in meds. I woke up feeling pretty groggy though, hopefully that doesn’t last long. I feel back to sleep on the couch for a while after getting up.
wend and got some food this morning, determined to make good choices.

i messaged my case manager asking if she had time for a visit or I could go to her. She said this afternoon would work best for her but if not there to ask for the liaison officer. Not sure why she couldn’t just give me a time? I didn’t like my last interaction with the liaison officer.
I’m still very much recovering. I’m weak. Sore. And I still have an annoying cough from the ventilator. Hoping it all gets better soon.

Re: My Mosaic

I’m struggling today with how much I’m physically struggling to recover. I got a decent nights sleep, napped on the couch once I got up this morning and then napped again this afternoon and I’m ready for bed now.
i have so very little energy and this cough continues to bother me.
i went down to community mh this afternoon, my case manager was snowed under, so she sent the peer worker out to see me. Same one I seen twice last week. Was good to just chat with her. She agreed that having someone do hime visits every day over the weekend will be good. I need that extra support at the moment.
i want to go and see my gp… but checked their online booking sight and there isn’t anything available for 2 weeks. I will call on Tuesday and explain a little and see if they can fit me in between.

Re: My Mosaic

Happy Easter to you also @Eve7 i didn’t make it to church this morning, actually haven’t been to church in weeks. We are having an Easter Sunday church picnic, maybe I will go to that, although feel like it will be harder to avoid all the dreaded questions with it being a more social gathering.

im still really tired today, slept ok last night though and my chest is sore today, perhaps from coughing so much. It’s bothering me a fair bit.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking, processing, replaying things over in my head. I remember being on the ventilator, when I was becoming more and more conscious and aware of what was happening around me. They had weaned me off the sedation, but the machine was still breathing for me. They were looking at trying to wean me off, so they set it to not breath for me, and while I was awake I was doing fine, but every time I drifted back off to sleep, which was very frequently, I wouldn’t breath on my own. So they had to keep turning it back on. When I was awake… and it was breathing for me, I could feel it doing its work. It was a strange sensation. something that your body just does seemingly automatically. Like if you sit and hold your breath after a while you’ve gotta take a breath. But the machine did it for me.

community mh team came to visit this morning, that was good. They were nice.
we are now making chocolates for Easter. Just put the first lot into the fridge to set. D has been excited to make them for days.
