My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Thank you @Anastasia @NatureLover i managed a decent amount of sleep. Still feel tired, but that’s ok. I have a close friends birthday this afternoon. We have friends from interstate attending whom I haven’t seen in years, so looking forward to that.

i read my discharge paperwork before I went to sleep. So much BS in it. Made me angry. Only plus, there was zero mention of my mental health. I will vent to my CM and psychologist during the week. I’m so over my eating disorder and the physical impact it is having on my health. This is the third hospital trip in a matter of weeks. Just want to be well and be able to enjoy life.

Re: My Mosaic

My step dad is still in hospital. There has been alot of back and forth whether he is coming home. Think mum knows who to actually believe now in terms of when he will be home. We have all tested negative to covid now though, so that barrier to him coming home has gone.
But we got more bad news, he had some heart tests done and basically 1/2 his heart is not working and there isn’t anything they can do. He was crying on the phone with mum tonight, which then she had a cry afterwards, to which I then need to support and comfort her. A taste of how things will be??

how do I do that when I’m falling apart inside? i see my psychologist tomorrow. I’ll be able to go in this time. I’m sure she will talk with me about my SH. I’ve done it again tonight. So much hatred. Disgust. I wish I could sort my head all out.

It all sounds really hard for you right now honey and I am so sorry @Bow

I wish I could do more than just respond on here but if this is all that’s available I will make the most of our connection.

Here for you tonight and with you tomorrow.

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

Oh that’s really hard news about your step dad. Trying to be support to others when things are so intense for ourselves can be more than challenging. I hear the care you provided for your mum with this.

Taking care of ourselves is such an important thing & I know you’ve no doubt heard the phrase; “putting on our own oxygen mask before we can help others”. So please honour your own needs despite the situation at home.

Is that a good time, that you’ve got the appointment with your psych tomorrow? I’m sure being open about your SH is not an easy topic and the feelings that you’ve mentioned that are with you right now. I hope you have been able to care for yourself after SH, to minimise harm.

Please reach out to those helplines you find useful if tonight things get harder for you.

These are some available, but I know you prob have a personal preference. And of course, call 000 if you need emergency help.

Thanks @Former-Member and @Eve7

Yeah good timing that I see my psych tomorrow. So much going on, so much to talk about.
not too good at taking care of me after SH. Don’t really know what to do. But I’ll be ok.

Re: My Mosaic

It’s really wet here. Lots of flooding. School is cancelled. I have wet carpet in my room due to leaks. I don’t wanna complain cause there are lots of people that have been hugely affected by the weather. But can I cry that my psychologist has cancelled my appointment today? Really neeeded to see her today 😩😭
