My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

@Jynx It has truly been the story of my life…. Or one of the many…. Of being on the outside and having my community pulled from underneath me.

i think it’s hard to feel like I fit in when there are so many parts of my life that are so hidden. I think part of being in a community is being authentic and real. I can’t be authentic and real. I can’t let people into that part of my life…. My world. I’ve done that before and it wasn’t good. Trauma is a bit**. It destroys people. It whittles them down to a shell.

only so much a person can take before they can’t get back up again and do something to end it.

Re: My Mosaic

That hurts @Bow, I know how much it hurts. It is possible to find the people who, when you are truly open and vulnerable with them, still accept and embrace you for who you are. I know it might feel out of reach, but I hope you keep searching for meaningful connections - and more to the point, I hope the right people find you. 🤞💜

Re: My Mosaic

I'm so sorry you're feeling so alone, @Bow

I hope the community here helps you feel a little less on the outside.

For what it's worth, I'm glad you keep getting back up.

@Bow I'm sorry about all your trauma, and that you feel you don't belong anywhere 😞

Thinking of you today @Bow

I often feel as if I don’t fit in anywhere too..round peg in square hole.

Thanks @Eve7 @NatureLover @moxi

I don’t feel good today. Sick, stomach cramps and pains. Own fault. But feel so very trapped in this ED behaviour. I know the discomforts and everything that goes along with stopping it, so I keep doing it. But I am scared about what I am doing to my body.

today is just a really bad day. Feel so unwell plus flashbacks intensifying and finding myself disappearing. Hard to stay in the now.

Re: My Mosaic

Sorry you are having a hard day @Bow I can see you are reaching out to your supports here, which is really great to see. Are you able to reach out to supports externally as well? Perhaps trying some writing as a distraction and a way of getting out the difficult feelings?

Here for you Bow 💝

Re: My Mosaic

Today I wish that the torture that I am putting my body through would be enough. That it would be enough to make my body give up. Give up the fight. And fight no more.

Re: My Mosaic

Hey there @Bow,

I firstly just wanted to acknowledge the pain I can hear in this post...it's a lot for one person to feel so I'm glad that you feel able to share a little here with us. Do you have any self care activities planned for this evening that might take the edge off a little?

I've also just sent you an email to check in that you're feeling safe this afternoon 💜
