Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow and @Snowie

I’m having issues with internet connectivity and phone battery but wanted to make sure you both knew that I’m thinking of you with everything you’re both dealing with.

Bow, it would have been so discouraging, disappointing, and isolating to have your psych respond that way and fail to check in around safety. I’m hoping seeing the dietician is a more validating experience.

And Snowie it would be hard that your mum might just be being nice because she wanted something.

Sending you both 💛 with gratitude for you both.

@Bow

Sorry, I didn’t see your message that must have come through while I was typing my message, then my phone ran out of battery and I couldn’t charge it until now.

I’m shocked and deeply sad at how they are treating you. I’m angry at them on your behalf. I wish I could offer you something to make this easier, or be with you in person so you had someone there with you.

I’m about to ask about support options with my deepest apologies in advance if they aren’t options right now. But is there anyone D could visit tomorrow so you could go to Safe Haven and ask for help to make a plan to stay safe? Or just have someone to be there in person to hear what’s going on? If not, is the Butterfly Foundation an option?

It’s clear to me that you love D very much and that you’re in a lot of pain. I wish it was easier for you to get some support and I’m so sorry this is happening. 💛

Re: My Mosaic

I guess a bit of an update… amazing who will answer their phone when you put your number in private. Yes. I tried my sw, still no answer. I gave it another 1/2hr and I tried the team leader. She sounded surprised when I told her who it was. We talked for a few minutes. My sw was apparently on leave today. She gave excuses as to why I had no check ins. I did not believe her at all. Was all BS. She said she’d speak with the manager and call me back.

a bit later I get a call from the horrible manager herself. She told me that she had spoken with my CM and had arranged a meeting between the 3 of us for Tuesday. I had not been informed about of this. I asked her what the purpose of the meeting was and she said to discuss what support I want, what they can offer and their limits. I’m confused by this. But whatever. I asked her what support might I receive in the meantime. I told her I don’t know, maybe a home visit to check in or something. And she asked for what purpose? What’s the goal? Again confused but told her maybe some support or encouragement around eating. And she was like sure on, I’ll come out what time suits you? What the actual fuck? I don’t want her! But anyways, she’s coming out at 11am!

this whole thing is absolutely screwed. I have never been needy or asked for or expected too much from them. I always go by what my SW’s capacity and availability is. Which is generally one to two home visits a week and or a visit out in the community and text message or phone calls the other days. I dont ask and demand for more. Yes more was offered to me last time mum was away, but I definitely didn’t ask for it. The only thing I have EVER asked for is predictability and consistency. I need a safe place with someone I can trust and since April this year that has been been provided.

I again asked for me to be allocated to my old sw. This manager obviously had an issue with me being ‘selective’ of who works with me. This will be my 5 change since April. Why do I have to keep having changes. Why can’t I be allocated to my old sw and someone else experience the joy of disruptive support for a change?

I absolutely do not want this woman in my home. She has zero empathy and I can only imagine how she is going to respond to my desire to not eat. It’s going to be a bloody disaster.

and this meeting next week… if her plan is to exit me, then no you can do that without me. I know she is on the attack and I don’t want that. The only thing I have done wrong is voice my needs and then contact my old old old sw for some support and reassurance. She told me I could contact her. I can just see it now, I’m gonna end up in tears and then walking out. This has all turned into such a messy disaster and I really don’t want to be here anymore.

in regards to safe haven… I can go tomorrow before school finishes. I can also go Saturday cause D is at her fathers.

@Bow

I’m proud of you for persisting in contacting them. I’m sorry this manager is choosing antagonism when you need and should be shown compassion. I hope Safe Haven is helpful tomorrow and Saturday, especially with this manager coming to see you. Not wanting to be here is such a painful experience. I’m grateful you’re here and wish that it didn’t feel so overwhelming for you. 💛

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow

I can hear there's a lot happening right now with your supports that has you upset - that's no good 🥀. It was concerning to read that you really don't want to be here anymore. I'm not sure of all the context but it sounds as if you are hopeful about being able to get some support from Safe Haven - is that right? Is there any particular support you'd find helpful from the forums right now? What else can help you to cope right now, in particular with the feelings of not wanting to be here?

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks for the tag @Bow I don't get notifications these days unless someone tags me.

Sounds like one big mess at the moment hon. I hope you get through the home visit today.

Maybe write down things for this meeting on Tuesday. What things/support that you need.

I wouldn't believe all she says either. Your SW seem to be on leave quite a lot 🤦‍♀️

I hope you can make it to safe haven today. I know in the past they have been able to listen to what is happening for you.

I know what it's like to have to keep going for your D hon. My kids were quite young when I started having MH issues. It's really hard. So easy just to give up yet at the same time you have someone dependent on you.

Leaving you with some 💕💕for today
