My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

Sounds like a hard session with your CM. Hopefully she can be there for your pdoc appt. next week.

It must be hard when they ask and then ignore you. Does your CM say anything about this? It would be good if she could speak to the SW.

ECT went ok. The nurses were nice but a new one was on that I hadn't met before. Seemed ok.

Phone call from mum. In the bad books again but whats new. Couch this afternoon.

Re: My Mosaic

She just expresses her frustration with them all as well @Snowie she said that they could always refer me to another service, but it’s another new thing, another new change and who’s to say it will be any different. I’m just really concerned that when mum heads to tassie, that’s when I really need the extra support and I’m just not going to get it. If staff are constantly sick and away, how does that even work? I’m surely not the only one that is not receiving the support I need yeah? She has offered, but if things are the same next week I will ask my CM to speak with them.

I’m glad ECT went ok and that you have been able to rest on the couch this afternoon. Sorry about your mum though.

do uou have plans for tomorrow or Sunday?

Re: My Mosaic

I think your SW need to know what support means @Bow They do seem to be away a lot. Even just responding to your texts can make a difference.

I hear you with your concerns when your mum goes to Tassie. That support certainly does need to increase. Did you talk to your CM about it?

I really don't know what to do about mum.

D has dancing tomorrow afternoon and night so will be busy with that. I'll have to go see mum Sunday but will certainly be a 'home' day.

Have you got much on? I remember you saying you need to get a few things for D for her camp. When does she go?

Re: My Mosaic

Yep, they do need to know I guess. Need to learn to stick up for myself, be more assertive yeah @Snowie I really wish my old old old sw was around. Maybe I could text her, see where she is at.

urgh it sucks and I’m tired of it being an issue. But it is what it is and it’s affecting me. Can’t help but think of it feeling like here…. Lots was given, high expectations and stuff, and now nothing (from staff). I was told by one sw that with the new tender that started 1st July that there was going to be smaller caseload and more one on one support and it has been the absolute complete opposite.

I didn’t mention to my CM about extra support when mum is away. But I will. It may need to come from their team if the sw are not capable.

im really sorry about your mum. I wish there was more that I could offer but please know that I am always here to listen and don’t ever feel you can’t say anything cause I’m having a rough day. Always an open ear.

is this time of the year for dance usually busy? You’ve had a couple of weekends with dance. D loves to dance. She often records herself on her iPad and I like to check her iPad every now and then to make sure she isn’t doing stuff that she shouldn’t….. and I come across her dance videos. Will sit on her bedroom floor and giggle.

not much on for the weekend. Will go to the shops briefly tomorrow, need to get bug spray. I went to Kmart this arvo for cat litter and got most of the stuff then. Dang dog…. Put a massive bag of cat litter downstairs outside the door where the kittens are and the dog chewed massive big holes in it. So cat litter crystals everywhere. Going to have to find something else to store it in. That’s it really. D has packed herself so need to go through it to check everything and put her name on everything.

@Snowie

I’m glad ECT went ok and that the new nurse seemed ok. Hope D’s dancing is a bit of a nice distraction and that you don’t have to make too much small talk if you’re not feeling like it. Hope the visit to your mum goes quickly too and that you can find something nice to do after.

@Bow

I’m glad your CM is being supportive. Texting the old old old SW sounds like a good idea. Hopefully she can help you work out what you want to do. Has it “just” been the young SW and the team leader who’ve not responded to your texts when you’ve said you aren’t ok, or is it also the other new SW who initially seemed ok too? (From memory the issue is that she’s been away?) Maybe the old old old SW could also help you work out how to get an answer on whether that SW is going to be more available going forward? I’m so sorry that this is all landing on you to sort out at a time when you really need extra support not extra stress.

@Bow

I only just saw your message. I wish I’d seen it earlier so I could have replied. I’m hoping you’re safe. I understand that not even having words to describe things means things must be feeling awful right now. I wish I could be there with you in person to sit with you.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Wintersweet it’s ok though- there was no care, shouldn’t be surprised really. I did stupid things, needed to. But I’m fine. It’s ok. I appreciate you and your kind words. I’m just really over things being so hard all the time, but even that doesn’t really describe the intensity of how over things I am. everything is hard. everything is exhausting.

i spent lots of time downstairs today laying on the floor, trying to stay awake while watching the kittens run around me.

how was your Saturday?
