My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow, it sounds like you are going through a tough time and it's really brave to share your experiences with the community.

I just wanted to let you know that if you have concerns about your physical health as you mentioned that you felt queasy and that you have fainted previously. I encourage you to contact the national Nurse on Call line on 1800 633 422 https://www.1800medicare.gov.au/ for health advise.

I also encourage you to continue to reach out to your peers and share your experiences!

Take care

@Bow

I’m so impressed that you made it to your appointment. It would have been totally understandable if you’d not been able to, especially with all the physical symptoms.

It’s super frustrating when we’re too tired to get across what we’re struggling with. Not feeling understood is always hard. You explained it well in this discussion thread the other day. Could you take a screenshot of that to show him next week?

I’m glad you’re seeing your CM tomorrow and hoping they will indeed be able to help you work out what you want to do.

Was the other kitten maybe called Celine like Celine Dion? Looking forward to seeing the photo when it’s approved. 😊

Re: My Mosaic

You got to your psych appt. @Bow thats the main thing. Hopefully you got something out of it.

Good job on finding the Starbucks. My closest one is a 25min drive.

Enjoy playing with the kittens! I'm guessing short periods of play then nap time.

@Wintersweet I hope you were able to get what you wanted done today

Re: My Mosaic

I think I could screenshot that @Wintersweet its all just in slow motion. I have picked up a little bit since this morning thankfully. But it is something that I often struggle with… the connections missing.

cartlia I think is the name of the other kitten.

@Snowie there really isn’t many Starbucks in Sydney area anymore but this is a new one.

yes short play times to start with. Letting them spend extra time in their enclosure too to make sure they feel safe and know where theit litter tray is.

I may have a favorite already!

my brother called earlier today, said he was heading to hospital and was waiting for the ambulance. He was at my dads and we asked why dad didn’t take him- they think you get seen quicker 🤔 but anyways, ambulance came and suggested he not go to hospital cause they have a flu outbreak, so they went to the gp and his pain meds have been increased a fair bit. Also been told he shouldn’t be alone as he has been a bit unsteady on his feet, his also not eaten much in a days so hopefully with some better pain meds and some regular intake- his staying at dads for a bit, he will feel a bit better. Mum will probably go down very soon, still trying to chase the hospital about her colonoscopy.

how has your day been??

Re: My Mosaic

Those kittens are very cute @Bow I'm sure they'll get lots of cuddles!

We have a few coffee shops but they are just local ones. Most sell decent coffee anyway, you just don't have a huge choice like Starbucks.

It's probably a wise choice that your brother isn't alone. I guess its a little reassuring that he has someone with him. Hopefully the increase in pain meds helps.

I hope your mum can get her colonoscopy done asap and go down to your brother.

Today's been hard. I didn't really want to face it. At least its almost over.

Have you got any plans for the coming days?

@Snowie

I’m sorry today was so hard. Hope tomorrow is a little easier 💛

@Bow

Such a cute kitty!

It must be so hard hearing about what’s going on for your brother. I’m glad this is a space where you can share about how you’re feeling. 💛

I can relate to feeling slowed. (About to talk about how today was for me, partly to demonstrate that I can relate, partly because you asked, and partly to process, but I really want to make sure you don’t feel pressured to respond!) I got to work today and then ended up using a day of leave anyway as I just couldn’t process anything. Ended up going to one of my coworkers’ offices with a sticky note explaining that I couldn’t speak/ was panicky and spacey. I’m so grateful for her understanding. After a while I could talk again and found my manager to let him know what was going on. I’m really grateful for him too. I’d already planned to have tomorrow off and am trying not to panic about whether next week will be the same as today.

I think I need time off but am a bit apprehensive how I’ll go at home alone with my thoughts and without the external structure. Going to see how I am on Monday and if it’s still so bad I can’t function, I’ll let myself crash for a couple of days and then reassess if I’m recovering or just spiralling.

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Snowie

how was ECT? How you feeling this arvo.

its been a hard day here. My appointment with my CM went ok, although only just got into see her cause I had been waiting 25mins and I was about to get up and leave. So tired and so many thoughts running through my head. I ugly cried telling her about my brother. She tried to offer reassurance, she’s young. But appreciated the space she gave me. Reminded me to take care of myself too and that both things can be true as the same time. Told her my frustrations with the SW. she was disappointed. Neither sw were in today, got a message from the team leader. I replied and then received no response after that. It hurts. Maybe they want me to just leave so hope by ignoring me I will? Asked CM if she was available next Thursday for my pdoc appointment and she is. So that’s good.

couch afternoon for you after ECT?
