My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Trying to manage health appointment logistics while processing what’s happening with your brother would be so hard. Suggesting your mum contacts the hospital to see where things are at is an excellent suggestion. I’ll be praying that they’re able to give her the info she needs so she can make plans to go see your brother. I really admire his faith. Will be thinking of you all 💛

Re: My Mosaic

Thank you @Wintersweet

he hasn’t always been a Christian, he started believing rather late in life but his faith very quickly became a strong central part of his life. And he is never afraid to share his faith with others and let them know what they are doing wrong! He often gives my younger brother and his partner a hard time cause they live together, have kids but aren’t married. And he very much dislikes it when he can’t get to church- he couldn’t go yesterday cause of his pain. His church family love on him so much and really look out for him. Someone picks him up and drops him home from church, a family will always have him over for Christmas Day lunch and other special occasions. One guy from church has a cleaning business and organised for someone to come clean his unit once a week for free (until ndis started covering it). People call, drop in or take him out for a meal. They really look after him. Which is really reassuring and we are very grateful.

anyways sorry you didn’t ask for all of that!

I hope your day has been ok?

I’m really glad to hear he’s got a community that care for him and a source of hope to hold onto. 💛

Today I’ve been playing the game of “what’s physical tiredness, what’s depression/anxiety, and what’s neurodivergent burnout?” Some of the strategies are the same regardless of the reason, some are directly opposite. I also know that I can spend hours looking up info on strategies as a form of procrastination which doesn’t actually help so I’m trying not to do that. 😅

Re: My Mosaic

Oh I can very much relate to that @Wintersweet! what’s causing me to feel the tiredness that I’m feeling; lack of sleep/ constant sleep disruptions, low vitamin D, lack of oral intake, depression and other mental health issues, my concoction of medications and or my fibromyalgia. Or a lovely combination of everything.

did one thing to help today though… finally dropped my vitamin D tablets off and had them added to my Webster pack. The lady had time to add them to my pack for this week too. But that’s a slow process to build back up.

i noticed your often up in the wee hours, you don’t sleep well?

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow

Well done for getting the vitamin D added to the Webster pack! Given that it does take time to build up you’ve done the most important thing by starting. Glad they had time to add it to this week too. It’s so frustrating not knowing what’s causing us to be tired and extra tricky knowing that it’s likely a combination of multiple things. I really struggle to take any action in that situation which makes me extra proud of you for taking the step with the vitamin D. Given how low your levels are I’m sure it will be worthwhile.

I’m in WA so it looks like I’m online much later than I actually am. I do tend to go to bed on the later end though as I don’t have to be up until about 8. That said, although I normally sleep for enough time, I don’t think the quality is great.

Re: My Mosaic

Ooooh that absolutely makes sense now then @Wintersweet !! That’s the only state I haven’t visited-WA. I’m like you, I’m pretty sure I get about the right amount of sleep, it’s just not quality sleep. And I wake so much.

when my vitamin D was first low months ago, I asked whether it would be beneficial to have a vitamin D injection to give me an immediate boost instead of having to wait months for it to build up with tablets, but my gp said. Apparently it can cause trips and falls cause ya have this sudden bursts of energy type stuff, but ya body hasn’t caught up. I don’t know how accurate that is but that’s how she explained it to me, which kinda makes sense. Funny enough though, they did a segment on vitamin D on sunrise this morning, the rates of low vitamin D is pretty high. Even 5 mins in the sun is good. We only get like 20% of our vitamin D from the food we eat, the rest is from the sun and even having sunscreen on can impact it. Anyways that’s my lil education session on vitamin D lol

@Bow

I imagine the interruptions themselves are pretty awful, even before you have to deal with the tiredness the next day. 💛

How interesting about the need to increase levels steadily! I hadn’t heard about that before!

@Chasingsunsets

It’s really hard when the words disappear, isn’t it? Thinking of you too 💛

@Snowie

Thinking of you and sending 💛 to you too.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks for your understanding @Wintersweet and your kind message. It’s rough but at least I am somewhat mindful of my patterns now which has made things a little easier to know up may be on the horizon 😊 (only took years and years to realise lol). How was your day 🌻
