My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Wintersweet @Snowie @Eve7 @Chasingsunsets

market was busy today. It was hot. But I did well. Sold all but one of my Father’s Day frames, plus a handful of my other pieces. Being able to go for a walk or sit in the car for a bit was helpful. Needed a few breathers. I was sitting on my chair watching this lady look at all my pieces. She was very obviously reading each piece taking her time. I then noticed her wiping her eyes. Wiping her nose. I could tell that she had become emotional. I thought whether I should go ask if she was ok. But I didn’t. I just left her. She then got my attention and I went over to grab the frames that she wanted and we then had a brief conversation about how the quotes and words had impacted her. I guess that’s why I do them. In the hopes that they would encourage someone.

wind started to pick up about 2hrs before pack up. Thank goodness for marquee weights! They are compulsory but I was surprised at how many people didn’t have them- the market committee was going around and checking. We lost a near new marquee a year or so ago when the marquee next to us blew over onto us damaging ours.

didn’t really get to have a nail once we got home. Took a while to unwind and then it was 4pm. I got a headache now.

hope you both had an alright day? How did D’s dancing go Snowie?

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

Well done on selling so much. Sounds like it was a successful day for you, so pleased for you.

I guess you don't know what others are going through. If your art work can help even one person than it is certainly worth the effort you put in. I'm glad you had a talk with that lady hon.

I hope you got some sleep last night after such a busy day and early morning. Hoping today can be just a 'relax' day.

D's dancing went well. Of course it was over the other side of the city so left early and got home late. I even slept in this morning which is very different for me.

Going out for tea tonight for D's birthday and fathers day. Am glad I can just have some time to myself today though.

Afternoon @Wintersweet I hope you day is going well

Re: My Mosaic

what cuisine will you be dining tonight @Snowie ? And cake? Glad you could have some time to yourself today.

how’s your day been @Wintersweet ?

we went to bunnings this morning, got a battery operated misting fan for market. And I got some wood molding for my cabinet. Mowed and did the edges out the front. That was hard. Probably shouldn’t have, my heart didn’t like it. Need to go have that ecg. Did a heap of dusting. A load of washing. And then the edges out the back and then the blower just now that it’s all done. I will need a shower somehow.

@Bow

That’s a big day! I hope you were able to rest a bit after. 💛

My day was ok. Very tired and a bit overwhelmed but saw some nice flowers.

Hi @Bow @Wintersweet @Chasingsunsets

Bow, we had Malaysian for tea last night. It's a restaurant we've been going to since the kids were young. The used to have one small one, now they've got 3. Really nice food. She requested an ice-cream cake for her birthday!!

I hope you all are having a good day 💗

Re: My Mosaic

My brother has called 3 times today. His chemo has been cancelled this week until he sees his oncologist next week. His in a considerable amount of pain all the time now. His palliative care dr came today and increased his pain medication and talked to him about what the coming weeks or months may look like. His last call he asked mum if she would go down there when he is ready to go home- he has a strong faith. Mums in tears. I’m in tears. Mum would go down now but she is on the wait list for a colonoscopy and her wait time should be up now. Her medical conditions make her rather unwell and stuck at home most days- so really needs this procedure. I told her to call the hospital, see where things are at.
