how was your trip?

Hi @Bow , my trip was surreal. We flew to Broome and then hired a 4 wheel drive and drove out into the Kimberley’s. I even met up with someone I hadn’t seen for 40 years who was staying at the same accommodation. We spent a day in an Indigenous community which was both welcoming and confronting. Trying to get motivated today.

That sounds great @Eve7 especially getting to spend time with an old friend.

I have friends in Alice spring and I went up to visit them years ago. They did a lot of work with the aboriginal communities and they took me along while I was there…. Very confronting and very educational. Have definitely had a different view of our First Nations people since.

me… same stuff really different day. ED is pretty loud at the moment and not doing so good.

I’m so sorry you didn’t get to see your SW today. Especially with how hard things are right now. I can think of how panicked/disappointed/discouraged I’ve felt when I’ve been relying on a check in with someone and then it hasn’t happened. Do you have a day for when you’ll next see her?

Do you think it’s a “take a nap”, “distract with some craft”, “call someone to get some extra support”, or something else kind of day? Maybe multiple of those through the day? Will be thinking of you.

yeah i was disappointed. The team leader did send me a message to see how I was. I don’t really know her though. Never met her before, just a few text messages.

im just on the couch watching some tv. Got a craft item on the go, but it’s so slow and tedious. I got a parcel delivery and just put all of these together. Putting the arms and hands together and clicking them in to place was a slow job and I now have sore fingers! I use them to make up Father’s Day frames.

I hope you sell some for fathers day coming up.

Went and saw mum this morning. All went ok.

Got a busy week ahead. Mum, MIL and FIL birthdays all this week!

My day has been ok. Busy and I got more sleep last night, both of which help.

I didn’t nap today and I think I should have. I’m tired and ready for bed. We had a loaded spud for dinner- seen a new local food truck set up up the road and we rather like a good loaded spud. D had a chip on a stick.
