My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Yippee @Bow!! Glad it's all working ahaha.

Ugh packing is no fun. Hope it was a lovely dinner though? Is it one or two days of driving?

My day has been chill - laundry, kitties, and leftovers for tea :P

Re: My Mosaic

Leftovers are always the best @Jynx no cooking and easy clean up!

our dinner was nice, I had a steak which was delicious.

overnight on the boat and then we’ll be stop half way for the night. I knew driving was exhausting, but by gosh zzzzzz it’s a long way. My butt was getting sore by the end of it and my hands and wrists too.

we were chatting with our house sitter today about our eta and she said she doesn’t mind hanging around until we get home cause she has fallen in love with my Groot! 🐈 I best check her bag before she leaves!

Jynx, I went to the local member of parliament today, my brothers housing service was refusing to put a heat pump into his unit, 4 of the other 6 units have new ones and mums been on the phone heaps trying to get it done. The member was disgusted that they were refusing to do it. Heaps of excuses. They wanted to come fix an old gas heater- so many risks around that with my brothers disabilities and health conditions. Anyways, couple of hours after we had been the housing service called to say they were gonna do it. That they were ‘going to go out of their way to do it’.

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

I happened across this thread and wanted to say that with feeling alone last night and then not sleeping well, it makes sense that it would be hard to find motivation to pack and get moving. Hope the drive back goes ok and that when you get there you’re able to rest.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Wintersweet very kind of you to stop by. I got up and packed all our stuff and then had to unpack the car to fit my mums stuff in too. We have a very full car and now just waiting to board the boat.

Re: My Mosaic

Well done @Bow!

I imagine that wasn’t easy. I know I would have found it a challenge (especially having to do it twice!).

Re: My Mosaic

Half way home. Today has been a struggle cause I hardly slept on the boat overnight. Just couldn’t sleep. Kept waking up. Aches and pains. Woke at one point and felt like I was going to throw up. It was a fairly smooth sailing too. Was a bit worried about the long drive ahead of me as sometimes when I’ve hardly slept I get real queasy and almost pass out for whatever reason.

Made it here in time (they close a 3 and we missed it on the way down) to check out a bookshop that I already knew had some really old Alice books. I now have a copy that is dated 1899!

We dipped our toes in the Murray and now ready for bed
