My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Sorry @Bow, just got caught up with a few things.

We've been very lucky that we've never had any health issues with Izzy. Hopefully it continues that way. They are a breed that lots of people do use as therapy dogs. I like the fact that they don't shred at all so my house stays clean!

It would be nice if you could see snow whilst you are away. D would like that.

Re: My Mosaic

Always good when we have fit and healthy pets eh @Snowie prior to Mr groot, I’ve had 3 other male cats and they have all cost me a fortune! Our dog Lulu ate a fruit mince pie a couple of Christmas’s ago… that turned out to be a very expensive fruit mince pie! She’s a goat…. Will eat anything…. Except raw celery and beans. Oh and lemons! Mum bought some lemons in yesterday from the tiny lemon tree out the back…. I was keen to see her response…. But she wouldn’t. She even licked up bird seed today. Mum spilt seeds after feeding the rainbow lorikeets.

Still coughing today. But got up and went on the treadmill. Need to do something. Feeling fat and lazy being sick for a week now. Need to get my body moving again. Did some Lego and some art journaling.
And still trying to find a house sitter. Mum is stressing about it. She’s like maybe we will have to take the dog with us. I want to avoid that at all costs! The dog stresses while in the car. We are staying in Albury on the down and back what are we gonna do with her then? And while in tas we will be limited and stuck cause of her too. Mum doesn’t wanna do a boarding kennel, which I get. So am now also looking into like private sitters- where the dog will go to their house and we have to pay. Previous house sitters we have used doesn’t cost us anything.

SW was away today. Got a text from a male I’ve never heard of. My new SW seems to be away a lot. Which to be honest is disconcerting

how are you? How was your day?

Hi @Bow ,

A gentle reminder that recovering from being unwell can take a lot of energy, so please be easy yourself and know that rest is productive and restorative.

I hope you start to feel better, and manage to get in touch with your SW again soon too.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Honeymoon @sorry I said the wrong thing

ive really struggled being sick. It’s not like I’ve been bedridden, but I have literally spent a week on the couch and I’m frustrated now. Especially over the weekend… it’s was my D’s weekend at home and I like to try and do something with her but I just couldn’t. Maybe if I took better care of myself I wouldn’t be sick for so long. Might talk with my psychologist about it Thursday

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

Oh dear hon, sounds like you've had some bad luck with pets. We have been very lucky that Izzy hasn't gotten into anything she shouldn't.

I've never tried Izzy on celery or beans. She does love carrots though. I freeze them and feed them to her since she won't eat the dental sticks.

Well done on achieving some things today hon. Please still remember it's not you being lazy, it's you taking care of your health first. That's why you've needed time to get better. I think all of us would have had couch days too if we were as sick as you have been.

I hope you do find a house sitter before you go or at least someone that can take her. Yes you can probably take her with you, but you are right, it would mean trying to accommodate her whilst over there.

Thats a shame about your SW. Hopefully it isn't a pattern happening. I don't think I would want a message from a random person either.

My day hasn't been that good. Took mum out this morning and it just got worse from there.

I'm hoping tomorrow can just be an 'at home' day. I've got plenty to do here anyway.

Sorry your day hasn’t been so good @Snowie hoping you can have a day at home tomorrow.

i think I’m gonna go to the dr tomorrow. I feel pretty lousy tonight. Coughing heaps still and then my chest and throat hurts from it. Mum dropped some lemons next door today and they asked if my D is sick cause they can hear someone coughing heaps!
