My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow

Lunch yesterday went ok, just lots of people there. Too many for my liking.

I hope dinner out was nice. At least you didn't have to cook

I'm sorry about your bother hon. Sometimes they are so wrapped up in their world they forget or choose to forget the people that should be important to them.

I hope today is going well for you.

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Snowie

…… I just had a shower!

today’s been ok. Woke at 7am to work men in our street using the blow vac to clear the road. It soon became evident that they were resealing the road. We knew nothing about it. We headed out the door at 8:30 to drop D at school and then to go get the groceries. On our way out we asked if we’ll be able to get back in, the guy said if your quick! I asked why we weren’t informed about the work and he said the owner should have told us??? Which is really weird. A letter should have just gone to every house. We decided not to go get the groceries and I parked around the corner so I could get out for my gp appointment.

my SW messaged me and said she may not be able to get to my appointment. Great she was the one that pushed me to make the appointment in the first place. I headed done, got my bloods done. And sat and waited and then she rushed in. Talked with my gp about my stimulant med being ceased abruptly and that we were all a little concerned about that. She doesn’t prescribe it so doesn’t know much but she did a little bit of research and said that I won’t get your typical withdrawals symptoms, but I’ll get all the symptoms that the medication masked in the first place. So depression, lack of motivation, increase in SI, loud head…. All things that are already really bad at the moment.

My gp did mention, and I absolutely agreed, that these pdoc come in and make changes to meds like this so abruptly when they have never met me before and will never see me again. She talked about how disruptive all these changes are and the anxiety it causes me. I haven’t told her yet that both my SW and CM are changing 😩🤷🏼‍♀️

told her my sh has been bad, she wanted to access it but I said no. This was already an ‘urgent’ appointment and they fitted me in around others. I’ll just deal with it myself. Had to promise I was safe.

my SW then held me up for over 1/2hr talking to me outside about getting their new tender for 5yrs, a letter with some changes regarding that and then had to go over this plan thingy. Gosh.

spent a couple of hours doing a puzzle and then had a shower.

sorry that’s so much.

how r u? And how has your day been?

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow it sounds like such a full-on day, I hope the shower and puzzles have helped a little today 💙

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Tolly i get a bit hyper focused with puzzles! I will spend many hours doing it. I often end up with a bad neck! Good thing it’s a subject I love though.

as for the shower… it was very muchly needed, i am ashamed at how long it had been. My SW is going to add it to my daily check in contact, gentle encouragement to get myself in the shower so it doesn’t get that bad again.

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow be gentle with yourself as I think you are doing so well and one day and one shower at a time right 😍

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah for the shower @Bow Super proud of you 😁

We normally just get a letter in the mail box if they are doing work on or near our street. Have always gotten one. Thought that was just the norm.

Glad you could get out though.

Thats good that your SW made it to your appt. hon, but more impressed that you got your bloods done by yourself and was going to go into the gp appt. by yourself too.
Sounds like your gp is very much invested in your well being. It's a shame she doesn't get a say in your care within Community Health.

I hope you don't get too many withdrawals.

It sounds like it was a very full on day hon. Well done for getting through all of it and also doing some things for yourself this afternoon and give yourself some self care.

Day was intense. Saw psych. Was a full on session. Went overtime and that normally never happens. Took me ages to drive home.

Taken meds to try and calm down and get some peace from my head.

Hope you have been able to calm down a little by now @Snowie sounds like you’ve had a big day too.

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow

Not really calmed but at least the day is almost over.

Have to take Mum up the street in the morning. Not much else planned.

Have you got much on?

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah I’m feeling a bit that way too @Snowie sitting here watching the clock

just need to go get groceries and my meds. That’s about it. More puzzling.

D is complaining that there is no cookies.

I finally hit sent on the email to the SW manager today. Had issues with the email address. Probably a waste of time cause I finally got a response back from the patient liaison officer about my hospital admission. Just the usual thanks for the feedback. Sorry you feel that way. Will pass it onto the appropriate people. 😩

In response to: Re: My Mosaic

Re: My Mosaic

Yep, watching that clock @Bow

Almost time for bed. Hoping D goes down soon so you can go to bed too.

Hehe, hard life when there are no cookies!!

At least you know the hospital got it I guess. Would have been nice to know they are using that feedback to make it better for the next person.

Well done on emailing the SW manager. That takes a lot of courage. I really do hope something comes out of it.
