My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Wow!!!! Amazing @Bow . I'm smiling so much because it's so beautiful! Did you use scrapbooking paper?

Your work is amazing.

Re: My Mosaic

I'm so glad you've had a nice morning @Bow and got spoilt. You deserve it.

Hopefully you can have a nice rest of the day.

Those tea boxes look amazing hon. You really are so creative, I could never do anything like that. Your mum must have loved them.

I love cosey soft blankets. So nice to cuddle under!

Kids gave me a voucher to go get a facial and some PA pj's. So will have to book in at some time.

I'm hoping lunch goes ok.

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @AuntGlow

ive had a rough week and feels like my supports are totally all over the place. I just scrolled back and I didn’t let you know how my pdoc appointment went… he was very thorough, asked a million questions, put me on another new antidepressant and abruptly stopped my stimulant- reckons it wasn’t doing anything despite only just met me. He couldn’t write a script for it anyways 🤷🏼‍♀️

I met with my case manager briefly after that appointment and she told me that she is going on secondment so I’ll be getting a new case manager as well as a new support worker.
I also let my support worker know how disappointed I was with all of them cause the SW’s team leader interviewed my case manager for the secondment position and knew that she had got it and still made the decision to change my SW as well.

so I’ll be getting a new case manager, a new support worker and I’ve just started with a new psychologist too. All my supports pulled from beneath me.

seeing my gp tomorrow, managed to get a semi urgent appointment cause despite the pdocs opinion, my research and my SW’s research and the pharmacist opinion- you shouldn’t just stop my stimulant. She can’t write me a script but she can help put together a plan to try and reduce them a bit.

The last 2 nights have been rough… have found myself on the bathroom floor in tears and so much overwhelm. And of course right on 10pm when my supports are no longer contactable. So have reached out to LL which did help a little bit.

hope your day has been ok

Thanks @tyme

yeah it’s scrapbooking paper. I got heaps of it.

have you made anything recently with your cricut?

Re: My Mosaic

My cricuit is nicely in the box @Bow ...

I always get inspiration from you, but don't get there.

I am yet to try those files that you told me about. I think that's the most awesome thing in the world that I never knew about. You taught me. I'm sure I'll reach out to you again when the time comes.

Re: My Mosaic

Nicely in its box lol @tyme I have mine nicely on top of a little cupboard. I bought 4 castor wheels ages ago that I want to put on the cupboard. The amount of times I get up to load the mat and then sit back down only to have to get back up again to press go! Just need to find the wheels!

Re: My Mosaic

How was lunch @Snowie ?

a facial and some new pjs sounds so nice. I don’t think I’ve ever had a facial before.

we ended up going out for dinner. Mum came down at 4 pm and said she didn’t feel like cooking and it was too late to put the chicken on. I told her I was gonna cook and the chicken would be fine in the air fryer. But she was like no. Let’s go out.

I think she gets hurt and disappointed by my younger brother and his missus. Yeah he called. That was nice- I got nothing for my birthday. Not even a HB message from him. He said he’d come around this arvo, but never did. Mums struggling with my older brothers condition worsening, it would be nice if my younger brother showed some care. They never come around, they never invite us around.
it makes me sad too. And I worry about the future. Being old and very alone.

Re: My Mosaic

I’ve just finished typing up an email to the manager of my SW…. And how these constant changes affect me. Haven’t fit the send button yet. Probably just wasted my time.

Re: My Mosaic

Thank you for updating me @Bow.

It must be so challenging having to adjust to this many changes in your supports and medications at once... I am hoping that your supports will be able to provide more care and guidance. I encourage you to let them know your intentions and hopes from the outside - it's more than okay to be clear about what you want and need. 💛

I am glad you have reached out to Lifeline for more support. It sounds like you're needing lots of nurturing and compassion right now.

I wonder if you could do one soothing thing for yourself this week? 🫶
