Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Why does everything have to be so bloody difficult here?!? Just had my SW drop off my bags and I’m not allowed to have my pillow and blanket!! ‘Infection control’ the nurse said. What’s the freaking difference between the blanket and pillow I bought in and the clothes I bought in??? They came from the same place.

these beds are so bloody uncomfortable. The mattresses are rock hard and there is no give in them. The one pillow I have is soft and low and I’m going to end up with a bad neck and headaches. The sheets don’t stay in place, after just one night I need to pull everything off and remake it. And I’m gonna be here for another 4+ weeks deal with this shit.

if they are worried about infection control they should make patients were shoes instead of the grubs walking around in barefoot.

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow

That would be so annoying about your pillow and blanket. Can't see the reasoning behind it at all.

I hope you've been able to get a few more answers

Sending love 💕💕

Re: My Mosaic

I tried so hard to go in there with a well thought out plan to make my admission a success but they just kept working against me
I’m upset
I’m angry
I’m frustrated

oh @Bow I'm sorry it came to that

I know how much strength it took to go there in the first place

I wish there was another way that you could get the help you deserve

Does your SW and CM know what has happened?

Re: My Mosaic

@Snowie I did call and speak with my CM urgently earlier this arvo and told her everything that was happening and that I was thinking about leaving. She made a suggestion which I did do but then other stuff happened and I left. She will see on their computer system that I left cause they are all linked. Thought she might of called but no.

i sent my SW a message telling her I might be going home. She asked why and I sent through some details. That’s it. Didn’t hear back.

they are probably both really annoyed with me. I would be. All that time and effort to get me to that point.

I’ve spent ages writing everything down to email to the patient liaison officer. Putting in a complaint.

Re: My Mosaic

It might have been a lot of time and effort put in @Bow but I think what is more important is what you put into it and your thoughts/feelings.

You needed to feel comfortable, safe and most importantly heard. After the first part that went well, it doesn't sound like any of these were met.

I know it was probably a hard decision since you do need help, but you needed to do what you felt was right and if that meant leaving than so be it.

Re: My Mosaic

Just constantly met with excuse after excuse @Snowie and as a MH patient you are simple expected to just accept it and move on.

I questioned things about my pillow and blanket but I got BS excuses and lies.
I had meal plans put in place with the dietitian and none of it was followed and I was again lied to.
I was lied to numerous times about leave, my CM can confirm all that. And then with everything that went down today they simple said no leave at all. I’m a friggen voluntary patient. They basically pushed me out the door, even to the point of calling mum to talk to her about me coming home!

I did everything I could to ensure I stayed well and make the admission go smoothly but no. They just didn’t want me there.
