My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Snowie @Eve7

thank you for thinking of me today.

today has thankfully gone really smoothly.

my SW picked me up and we headed down there. My local hospital now does next in line triage and I only had to sit and wait 5 mins before it was my tune. Told the nurse what I could. She then called someone and I was then taken straight back to a secure mh unit within the ED and I had a bed. Within maybe 20mins the mh nurse consultant came by and took my details and why I had presented. He would then call the on call pdoc to discuss. I then let my SW go cause she had supported me through all the tough things and it would pretty much be just a waiting game then. I soon after that seen a medical dr to check my physically. That was all fine. I had bloods done and an ECG. When I first arrived at the mh unit I had told the nurse that checked me in that I really needed to see a dietitian. She came. She was lovely. And we put together a plan to help keep me well physically while here. I was then moved to the short stay unit just before dinner. Have my own room. I’ll see the pdoc tomorrow morning to discuss treatment and a plan and then hopefully a bed on one of the other wards.

so it’s all gone really well thankfully. @Jynx @AuntGlow

@Snowie you ok??

Re: My Mosaic

Oh I'm so glad @Bow that it went smoothly today. It sounds like you were able to speak up for yourself and got some things in place to go forward. I hope tomorrow a plan can be put in place with the pdoc and it happens quickly.

I'm ok, in bed, safe space.

I am so happy for you @Bow and I must admit really shocked that it has gone so well.

I hope your admission is really helpful for you…onwards and upwards xox

Re: My Mosaic

Feeling really frustrated and annoyed.

pdoc team came around this morning, the consult was there via video call. Said he had read all my notes and stuff. Said he’ll up one of my meds and get bloods done to check the levels of another med. He then asked how long I felt I needed to be here. Told him I had primarily presented to hospital with the support of my comm pdoc and cm to have ECT….. he was like… oh well we will put you on the list for a bed upstairs on the acute ward and then you’ll see the psych team from there where they will discuss ECT and apply for approval !!! Urgh. How long till a bed I asked. Well hopefully sometime this week. URGH!! Can I have leave please? Just to go to the cafe. Gotta ask my CM apparently. Urgh.

good hour later I hand my watch in to get charged and asked if I could go get a drink. Nope. I don’t have leave. I’m voluntary though. They are waiting to hear back from my CM still. Nurse said give me 5mins.

I gave her an hour and went back down, she palmed me off to the boss nurse. Told him the same thing, I just want a drink. Something other than water. I’m voluntary they can’t hold me here. He told me off…. You’ve been here before you know how it works.

went back to my room and cried. I hate this. I hate that they hold so much control. I try so hard to not let this get to me cause it’s exactly what triggers my ED and I end up becoming unstable medically.

I could pack my bag and leave. Discharge myself. They couldn’t stop me. But I know I need to be here. Yet I can’t go out to the cafe at the end of the corridor to get a drink. It’s so farking ridiculous.

my SW came by. She wasn’t even allowed to take me out.
