My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Hey @Bow

💕💕

Did you speak to your mum?

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks for caring @Snowie

yes have again spoken to mum.

My SW came by as well after I sent her a panicked text.

She’s going to pick me up tomorrow and take me down to the hospital and stay with me as long as she can.
She offered a lot of reassurance, which was good.

have called and spoken to my CM too to confirm that she will call ahead to the hospital and speak to the mh person that’s on.

how are you doing today?

Re: My Mosaic

Sounds like you have achieved a lot today hon @Bow

Glad your mum knows and a few things have been put in place.

Hopefully your SW can stay with you until you are admitted, bit of support for you.

Had psych today

Re: My Mosaic

I have a headache @Snowie stress

I have packed an overnight bag with pjs, change of clothes and toiletries that I will take with me tomorrow. And then once I know what’s going on and have been admitted to a ward I’ll get my SW to grab another bag from home that I’ve packed with more clothes and heaps of craft! I’d feel stupid rocking up to the ED with a suitcase!

I’ve spoken to D. She didn’t say anything or ask any questions. I blamed my gp. Told D that my gp called and told me I needed to go in. D just doesn’t know for how long I guess. She saw me packing stuff and said I won’t need all that 😩 I got a box of blank cards and envelopes from Kmart. Going to write/draw/make her something every day. She won’t come visit every day, but I’ll still do it every day.

I want to take my own pillow and a soft comfort blanket- it’s those things that make it look like I’m taking the kitchen sink. Oh and my weighted sloth- I sleep with that.

my SW said today to not worry if I don’t sleep well tonight, I’ll get to catch up on and sleep well in hospital. And if I don’t, they give me something and I’ll sleep well then. I nodded. But I won’t. I don’t sleep well in hospital. Especially if I’m in the public psych wards. The mattress is horrible. Hard rubber plastic so patient don’t destroy them. I remember years ago I got like 5 extra blankets and put them on the bed to sleep on them. And then it just takes me days to feel safe and comfortable enough to sleep.

oh I’m so anxious

how was your psych appointment @Snowie? I know you were concerned she’d make some phone calls

Re: My Mosaic

Yeah @Bow just an overnight bag sounds better. I think I'd feel funny rocking up at the ED with everything too. At least you have it all ready to go.

Thats probably good with D not asking too many questions. Not giving her a timeline is probably better too, that way she doesn't expect you home on a certain day.

Taking some home comforts does make it easier hon. When I've gone in before I've taken my weighted blanket and teddy.

Thats a nice idea for D. Doing something every day for her. Gives you something to do too.

It is hard sleeping in there, I get that.

Psych ok. Blurted out a lot. Wanted to call ambo, said no. She's calling pdoc. Took me double time to get home.
