My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Good morning @Bow

I know there are so many questions you can't answer yet about your admission. It's hard when we have lots of 'what if' this happens or that happens. Will it go as planned. It certainly makes it a lot more stressful.

I hope there are moments today where you can have a break from all of those questions.

Sending lots of 💕💕🫂🫂

Haha @NightHedgehog i have only ever caught our dog drooling once and it was so funny. My lulu sits and watches me eat toast she knows when I get to the last bite and her ears pop up a bit and I can see her tail move… she knows. At dinner she gets some chopped up cucumber and if she doesn’t get it quick enough she’ll give you a quick tap on the leg.

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Snowie miss you. I notice when your not around- and absolutely no pressure to be around, just know that you are very often in my thoughts.

yes many unknowns at the moment and it’s hard to sit with all that uncertainty.

i see my psychologist this morning, we kinda talked about that kinda stuff… he gave me a print out to work through, so hoping that will help a little. Then I went straight to arts and crafts which was nice. We made this birthday calendar thingy… I need to finish mine off at home with something made on my cricut machine. it was real nice to be back at arts and crafts. There was just one other client, then my old sw and another sw. So nice and small and quiet.

how are you doing today? Up to much?

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Bow

Glad to hear the appt. with your psych went ok. Hopefully it takes away some of that uncertainty.

I did read too that he is encouraging you to write things down. I know at times you struggle to say it out loud, so hopefully that helps with communication between him and you.

Arts and crafts does sound nice, quiet and small. Perfect!

Does D finish school today?

Been a few busy days. Took mum out clothes shopping, to lunch and then an appt. yesterday. Came home exhausted. Her dementia is getting worse. Really noticed it yesterday.

Been catching up on washing today. Sunny here so hoping it'll dry.

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Snowie

yeah D has finished school for the term now.

does sound like you have had a busy few days!

We called in for my brothers oncology appointment this afternoon. His starting a new chemo next week as his tumors are growing and not responding to current treatment. He was told that this new one is his last option in tassie and would potentially need to come up here to do further treatment.

feeling pretty flat and sad

are you doing anything over the Easter weekend?

Re: My Mosaic

Least you have a few weeks of not having to worry about getting up and ready for the school rush @Bow Hopefully you can have some sleep in days.

That was good that you could call in for your brothers appointment. However not the news you probably wanted to hear. Hopefully this new treatment will work for him and he won't have to go interstate. Hard when you just have to wait and see.

Was a busy few days. Tomorrow will just be spent at home, hopefully with a sleep in.

Saturday we are taking mum out for lunch. It is my Dad's anniversary of his passing. Unfortunately my brother is coming too. Have to put my big girl pants on and talk to him.

Then Saturday night going out to tea for my nephews 18th. Thats on H's side of the family.

I think by Sunday I will be over people and just want to hide. I've brought the kids a chocolate each but don't really do much as they are older now. Do miss the morning easter egg hunts!!

Do you do much over the Easter weekend?

Re: My Mosaic

Oh you have a busy few days coming up @Snowie woah! I’d need a day at home in peace and quiet after all that.

not too much for us. Think we are going to try and get to church at some point. D is at her father’s tomorrow for a bit. Saturday we have market. D has been nagging for weeks to use the fire pit. One came with the house and a designated space and we haven’t used it yet. I do know that there is a great big fat red back spider nesting under it- seen it once when I was doing the lawns. Hoping to roast it when we use the fire pit!!

will only really have to deal with the first week of the holidays. Should be in hospital for the second week. Ordered a couple of things online for D to do so she doesn’t nag she is bored

Re: My Mosaic

I know this is a big time of year for church gatherings @Bow, hope you get there.

A fire pit is nice, we have one too. Still a bit warm for it here. Nice to cook marshmallows on.

Oh, I would burn that spider too!

Hopefully the market is busy with it just before easter.

Thats a good idea for D, to order some things for her to do.

I ordered some things from Amazon last night and they came today. I love the next door delivery.

Are you going to speak to D before you go in or just leave it till you go in?

In response to: Re: My Mosaic

Re: My Mosaic

I do like amazons next day delivery too @Snowie i ordered a new oodie for D the other day

i think I will tell her the day before. I don’t want to give her too much time to worry about it. Thought I would take her. She will get upset and I need a distraction. Just hope it doesn’t affect her sleep. Sigh
