My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

Well glad D went to school then. I think all kids do this at times. I remember my kids doing this and me having to take their devices out of their rooms at times.

Thats good if the psych wants you to write things down. I know how much easier that is for you. It can be so much easier than saying them out loud at times. Those are good points you wrote down. Something you can always refer back too when needed.

Glad your SW was there and you could talk to her, even if she did most of the talking!!

I'm proud of you for making it through another psych session. You should be proud of yourself too.

I'm on the couch at the moment. Took mum down the street this morning so she got what she wanted. Made me get out of the house which was probably good. She needs some clothes for winter so will have to take her to a big shopping centre soon. We have no clothes shops around us. My head feels all scrambled up. Too much in it.

Oh, and went and filled up my petrol tank. $170 dollars later. Just ridiculous. No wonder people are doing drive offs.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Snowie

My gp tried calling me while I was in with my psych, she left a voicemail asking me to call back as she had my sleep study results and wanted me to book an appointment to see her and discuss. As I already had an appointment booked for next week I didn’t call back. But when I got home I jumped online and logged onto my health records to see if the sleep study report was there, but it wasn’t. But my 3 blood tests from yesterday were, but you can never view them for a week. But I clicked the first one and surprisingly I could see the result and notice my potassium was low. Thought my gp would call at some point. But one of the reception ladies called to book a Telehealth for tomorrow and she said not to cancel cause it was urgent.

im gonna have to try so hard to make good choices. My gps gonna be real strict, she’ll give me a few days to increase my intake and eat certain foods and make me retest. If I tell her mum is away she’s gonna be concerned.

Hi @Bow

All the best for the appointment tomorrow, it is good to know that the GP is really on top of things.

Hi @Bow

It's hard not to think the worse when they say urgent.

She seems like a thorough gp. Hopefully she is just staying on top of things.

Yeah…. I’ll still stress though. At least I can try and keep myself distracted by looking for Alice books @Snowie

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow my heart is overjoyed to hear that too, thank you psych for promoting the writing side of things!! I also really like those points, especially about purposefully connecting to that refreshed post-shower feeling. If you are able to practice at that, you may be able to work towards connecting with other good feelings too!

No one is a 'problem to solve' in my opinion. We don't need to be fixed, we need to feel like we are seen, cared for, and accepted as we are.

Can't believe your D, so cheeky!! Wow, harder for kids to lie these days with technology... though I'm not so sure my parents really believed me when I lied about staying up all night watching Buffy 🤣

Hey @Snowie sorry about your scrambley head hun. Be nice if we could wake up and be 'sunny side up' all day, hey! Sending you some gentle hugs 💜
