My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Finding yourself feeling somewhat safe on the ground is a win in my books! It shows me that your body knows what it needs. @Bow 💛

Oh that must be so rewarding. 🥹 What a sweet boy.

I understand. And it's allowed to feel tough right now - you're going through a lot and I am certain you're giving all that you possibly can to the kittens. They are lucky to have you.

Book fairs are always so whimsical. I used to love them as a kid too. Does she have a favourite genre?

I hope that your thoughts start to slow down as you get some rest, Bow. Have I shared the ASMR scrapbooking videos with you before? I find them really helpful in slowing my mind down. 🥰

This is Jett, Remi and Juno. I’ve put these soft Velcro collars on them cause you can’t tell them apart otherwise, except for one that has a kinky tail. I don’t know which is which though, they are due for a vaccine booster in a few weeks, then they can scan their microchip and then I’ll be able to put a name to a coloured collar. At the moment they are just green, blue and purple!

they are super cute, 3 boisterous boys running around wrestling each other. They are slowly warming up to me and approaching me.
these guys were bought in by a vet nurse who found them abandoned with no sight if mum. 7 weeks old.

@Snowie @tyme @AuntGlow @Eve7 @Jynx

oh and my other ginger cat arrived this morning!

omigosh @Bow what ADORABLE WEE DARLINGS!! I'm so glad your space is filled with tiny meows again!

How are they going, keeping you on your toes? Teehee!

I'm still catching up on stuff and can see you've had quite a lot going on with all your supports. An appt tomorrow I think I saw? But that's awesome to hear your old CM is floating around now!

I'm a little all over the shop this arvo but just wanted to check in 😊

Re: My Mosaic

@Jynx !!! Little squeal of delight seeing you pop up this afternoon. Have been really sad with your absence to be honest.

kitties are good. All over 800gms now so need to call up and book them in for desexing. Sadly they haven’t been the joyous distraction that they normally are.

my old SW is back which is really nice. And my CM is back after being off sick for 3 weeks. A lot has happened. I have and am still, rather unwell. I was suppose to see the pdoc tomorrow- another new one- that was a complete disaster. But they have decided that they want me to see the pdoc consult which isn’t until the 5/5!! Crazy. And yet again another new one.

me SW came by today. My old SW put that in place when she came by on Thursday. My SW called this morning and left a message and said that she probably won’t come by. Sigh… I’m glad that she changed her mind…. But all she really pushed was to encourage me to get in the shower. No mention of anything else really. SH is high. SI is high. I won’t say how many days it been since I ate.
it’s all bad. Struggling. Sigh.
sorry

how was your family trip?

Re: My Mosaic

Think I was just frustrated @Snowie

to start with she left me a message saying she probably won’t even come by today. Spent hours frustrated and disappointed over that. Why put these things in place if they aren’t even going follow through with them?

but then she called and said she would come by. My old SW put these home visits in place primarily to check in around my safety and encourage me to eat and drink. But also showering and brushing my teeth also. My SW today just went on and on about showering. Different ways to get me in the shower.
im tired. Like really tired. It’s hard to have motivation to cook just for myself while my D is at her dad’s yesterday and today. It’s just easy I guess to not nothing with anything.

Re: My Mosaic

Must be frustrating with your SW @Bow

Yes coming, no not coming now, yes now coming. Would annoy me too.

It's hard when it's only you for tea. Have you got any frozen meals you can have? I always have some in the freezer just in case I can't be bothered cooking.

Even eating can feel exhausting, showering even more so.

Also, love the new lego cat!

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow sounds like a whole basket of cute! Sorry to hear they haven't felt as much of a joyous part of life at the moment. I know it is probably hard to do so but it could be a good moment to try to engage in some mindfulness - as in, when you're with them, try to focus solely on the experience of being with them. How soft they are, how silly they can be (like when they faceplant haha), how cute their little meows sound...

Of course one of the things about trying to fully 'be in the moment' like this is that our brains will very easily and frequently wander back to all the distressing stuff. It's important and helpful if you can not beat yourself up when this happens 💜

Oh wow, 5/5 is ages!! The waiting game is soooo painful hey. Will the kitties be out for adoption by then?

Sorry to hear how much of a struggle everything is at the moment, that even the basics feel completely out of reach. Even if all you're able to do this evening is nibble on a small snack, and wash your face, that would be an accomplishment in my books!!

My trip was okay, bit intense at times but family always is I guess. It was good to be able to see them since I haven't in quite a while! And I got to go swimming in some rock pools and play with my nephew so that was super wholesome 😊
