My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Thats understandable @Bow That panic setting in

Maybe only having a little time gives you less time to think about it, less time to stew over it.

I hope your able to get at least some rest tonight.

Hi @Bow

I hope the appt. with the psych went ok hon. I know how anxious you were

Can you do something nice for yourself, a reward for just going to it?

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks

my appt went ok I guess. I was able to be honest with him about feeling really uncertain with working with a male psych. He appreciated my honesty. We talked mostly about how challenging the start of this year has been. I told him that I was looking at doing an admission to have ECT beginning of April. So we decided that we would get to know each other and work at keeping myself well until April. And then look at things then. He said I did not have to continue with him if I didn’t feel like it was an ok fit.

I felt a bit frustrated that he didn’t seem to know much about what conditions I had… like my ED

i think a support worker is coming to check in on me… I said too much to one of them via text. Urgh

Afternoon @Bow

Firstly, well done for turning up and going to the appointment hon. I know how difficult that would have been for you. Give yourself credit for that.

It sounds like it didn't go bad. It was good that you could be honest with him. At least he gave you the option if you didn't want to continue with him you didn't have to, instead of just saying that it was him or no one.

Hopefully the SW comes if it's needed hon

Please take care of yourself 💗

Here if needed

Re: My Mosaic

Hey @Snowie

the SW came…. Or they…. My old SW and a PSW came. It was so nice to see my old SW, I’ve really missed her. And she knows me. She knows me when I’m really unwell and she knows what things she needs to check in with me around. Her responses… or the tone of her responses when I told her about some of the things I’ve been doing, struggling with and how bad things have got. Her concerns I guess.

we talked about supports that they can put in place while mum is away. She’s going to organise for someone to do a well-being home visit every day, sometimes they’ll try and offer to meet me out in the community cause I told her I’m not going out much at all, but if I don’t want to they will do a home visit instead. On Saturday- cause my D is at her father’s for dinner, she’s going to organise for the worker to come late in the afternoon and basically make sure that I eat something. She’ll have them check in with me around sh, si, eating and drinking, stockpiling and showering and personal hygiene. When I told her how long it’s been she offered to sit and wait while I went and had a shower, I declined, but I really do need to get in there.

really appreciated her visiting and being willing to put all those things in place.

how r u?

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow

Sorry hon, had to go to the chemist. Forgot this morning when I was up the street. Silly brain!

That was nice of your old SW to do that hon. So glad they did.

Putting more supports in place, especially when your mum is away, sounds like a great idea. Even meeting somewhere else just to get out of the house sounds nice.

I'd love to be able to go get a coffee with someone.

I am ok. Scared myself today with trying to deal with a flashback like my psych taught me. Didn't go well. Ended up dissociating.

Re: My Mosaic

Ya, I’m really glad she came along @Snowie shes the team leader so she’s pretty much been able to put all that extra support in place cause she the boss. My SW is due on shift on Sunday and my old SW said she’d organise for my SW to do a home visit too- hopefully it doesn’t interrupt any movie plans, cause she likes to take people to the movies when she works on a Sunday.

i wish we could go grab a coffee/chai.

im sorry you ended up dissociating, that’s hard. Can you relax the rest of the afternoon?

you got plans for tomorrow?
