Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Morning @Bow

I hope your mum got off ok hon. I realise this time will be difficult for you.

I know your dietitian is someone you can talk too, hoping your appt. goes well.

Crossing all my fingers in the hope that your SW is back today.

You don't have these kittens for long. Not like the last group that you had.

Wishing you a good day today hon. Sending lots of 💕💕

Re: My Mosaic

Been moping around the house. Feel a bit lost, not sure what to do, zero motivation, not a good start to mum being away.

mum got off fine.

my dietitian appointment went ok. Talked about what’s been happening. Did some planning for while mum is away. My ED is always loud during this time, mums not around to makes sure I eat right. Talked about the possible admission in early April and what that will look like and what supports I may need. Then also talked about my D’s eating issues, which I really appreciated and she said she is fine based on what she is eating etc. So at least that is good.

have just found out my SW is away the rest of the week. I nearly cried. I messaged another SW asking if she was back. I also asked if it would be ok if I came into the office to say hi to my old SW and if she could message me or if I could have her number…… this SW replied that my SW is still away and that I am welcome to come into the office any time. ….. this reply annoyed me. How will I know if my old SW is available if I come in anytime? What if everyone is out doing supports or meetings etc? Feel shutdown. Rejected. Pushing the tears more to the surface.

don’t feel ok. I’m scared

Re: My Mosaic

oh dear @Bow

No doubt it brings up a lot of emotions for you hon.

Can you try and break it down into baby steps.

Step 1 - Drive to comm mh, Step 2 - go inside, Step 3 - go into the room, Step 4 - start to talk, etc

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Bow ,

I'm so sorry to hear you are struggling, especially with your mum away and your support worker not being available this week. It makes sense that you are feeling lost and unsettled with so much change. Sometimes taking things hour by hour can help. I'm also really glad you were able to get some support from your Dietician in making a plan.

You mentioned your ED being extra loud this week with your mum away - I encourage you to reach out to the Butterfly Foundation National ED Helpline - 1800 33 4673 (8am - 12am / 7 days a week) if you need that extra support.

You are never alone! Thinking of you💓

Re: My Mosaic

I can try @Snowie just have very little capacity at the moment for anything. Absolute panic has set in. I totally forgot about it. Ideally I need more time to mentally prepare.

Re: My Mosaic

Hi @Honeymoon

sometimes I can’t even do hour by hour, find myself just sitting in some paralyzed freeze state. And so much time passes by.
then I get frustrated with myself that I’ve done nothing and have been lazy.
I know…. I have very little compassion or kindness or anything positive to offer myself.

thanks for the reminder re: butterfly. Maybe I’ll give them a try
