My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

@Bow You have nothing to be sorry for. And hey, this community isn't giving up on you hun, because we all know what it's like to struggle, to feel like we don't matter. So we have each others backs, yeah?

I think I'll continue to worry, but only just the right amount. Alas, as you know, one does not simply cease worrying about something or someone that they care about!

Do you have any activities or tools in your safety plan you could take a crack at? And (if you have the brain space) I'd love to hear about your latest art/furniture projects 😋

The painting is incredible @Bow

I'm sorry I missed your notification. I promise it's not because I don't care. I thought you maybe decided to go to bed.

Please take it step by step hun. I'll check in with you tomorrow 💜

Re: My Mosaic

Felt forgotten @Jynx like everyone else but oh well.

I sent my SW a big text last night. Tried to sit on it for a bit so it’s not all emotional, tried not to be all angry and stuff but I think I had a big vent in general about how shitt everything went on Monday. She replies this morning and really validated everything and offered to do a home visit which i accepted.
It was good to have a chat with a friendly face. She was really disappointed with how it all went. She even spoke about how they told the stupid pdoc not to call my mum- that was for emergencies only. But she was also proud of my mum for giving them a good go. And proud of me for talking to them on the phone after all.
Turns out my CM is really sick and is in hospital. Not sure when she will be back. Told her that I had spoken to mum briefly after the phone call and told her a bit about my struggles and that when mum gets back from tassie late March then I will look at an admission for ECT.

Later today I got a text from comm mh that someone from the team would call me shortly. Nearly an hr later I get another text saying they tried to call and give them a call back if I wanted. They didn’t call?? But I was brave and called…. Initially asked to speak with my CM- stupid person on the phone didn’t even know that she was off sick?? Like how do they run that place???? Eventually spoke to someone. Heaps of random questions. Yadda yadda. They asked if I’d see a pdoc and I said that appointment on Monday could have gone completely differently IF they had informed me it was a new pdoc. They again apologized. They will call again tomorrow.

so that’s today. I’m tired. It’s been another big emotional draining day.

but a very big happy birthday to you. I hope you ate lots of cake!

Re: My Mosaic

I know @Bow - please know that it wasn't intentional, my heart leapt into my throat when I realised. I know that the fact it was unintentional doesn't make it better, but please know that if you ever feel forgotten, you can always tag me again to nudge me.

So proud of you for how you've handled such a difficult situation - and that you decided to reach out to your SW about it all so that she could pop by and be there for you. Sounds like a lot of human error/lack of internal communication, resulting in a very stressful time for you. Especially when consistency and transparency are so important for you and others with complex trauma.

Do you have much on tomorrow other than the call coming in? Hopefully you get some down-time to recuperate some of your energy!!

Thank you so much hun, I had waffles for breakfast which was pretty decadent!! And a friend brought me a Biscoff dessert for later, so.... kinda cakey? Teehee! 💜

Re: My Mosaic

I know but I don’t like to annoy too much cause I know how busy y’all get @Jynx but thank you. It’s all ok just more when I was already down.

I can not express how frustrating a service they are to have involved in my care. It just feels like one thing after another where they are dropping the ball, stuffing things up and really not caring. My SW finds it extremely frustrating too. We talked about it for a bit too. Like they have a team meeting every morning, you’d think that when they know someone is away that there like here is a list of their clients, everyone take one and just touch base. It’s not that hard is it? Like wouldn’t that be part of the purpose of their meetings. I know that they are busy… but sigh.

don’t have anything on really. But wanna pop down the shops to grab some spuds. Got a chicken to cook in the air fryer and it needs spuds to go with it.

you desserty cakes sound delicious. We had pancakes twice over the weekend!
