My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

That's really cool! Where did you learn to paint/refurbish old furniture? 🧑‍🎨

I will certainly be here as much as I can be @Bow, but I do understand that our presence is sporadic at the moment and that it would be hard to adjust to. 💛

If you do decide to share, please don't hesitate to tag me and I will get to it as soon as I can. 🥰

Re: My Mosaic

Are they like meatballs with rice in them @Snowie ? That sounds nice. D likes meatballs and I actually got some today for her, she needs more iron in her diet.

just tucked D into bed, but now I wanna watch something on tv…hmmmm

Re: My Mosaic

@AuntGlow I honestly just wing it. Little bit of research and watch other people. Like today, I ended up stripping back days and days worth of work cause it wasn’t working. I’ll sand it back tomorrow and start a fresh one the doors.

it’s been hard @AuntGlow cause so many times recently people offered to help by doing something, working together to plan something out to help and support but then they disappeared. And it’s not just me, I’ve seen it for others too. It’s like waving a carrot in front of a rabbit and poof, gone. It’s so disheartening. So disappointing. I’m to the point now that it’s just not worth it anymore. It’s not a safe place.

Yep thats them @Bow Mince and rice, then use 2 cans of tomato soup and put them in the oven for an hour. Kids and H love them.

Just watched another episode of 'The Pitt'. Have to wait till next week when the next episode is released. Will be in bed soon I think.

Hope you find something on tv.

Re: My Mosaic

That's pretty empowering @Bow! I have been reflecting on self-teaching lately actually, because I often have this mentality of needing formal training for things, but who's to say that watching other people and researching in my own time can't be just as valid? 🤩

I hear you, Bow, and we absolutely want this to feel like a safe space for you and all of our forums members. I am happy to pass this feedback on, if that feels okay for you? 💛

Re: My Mosaic

If we needed formal training to do things @AuntGlow we would do one thing in life and not much else. I guess that’s the thing with the internet these days, you can learn so much. I absolutely love Pinterest for that very reason! I’ve literally taught myself so many things, fixed so many things, made so many things…. I’m also cheap, so hate paying someone to do something that I could do myself 😂

sure ya can pass it on

Morning dear @Bow

I hope you first consultation with the sleep clinic tomorrow goes well today for you hon. I know you have got a few big days coming up.

Already been to gp, supermarket, watered plants (going to be hot today). Now time for coffee and couch!

I really like The Pitt too but hate waiting

Re: My Mosaic

You were up and at it early today @Snowie well done! Hope it’s not too hot.

I had my sleep consult today. My SW ended up coming with me and met me there. She just talked and talked and my insides were screaming! I wanted to tell her to shut up. Please. I had time weighed. Again. So triggering. I asked that he not tell me, which he was fine with. Asked so many questions. He ended up saying that I have many contributing factors, all my meds, being overweight urgh, but he said doing a sleep study would be a good idea. He suggested doing one at the hospital due to all my meds, but gave me the options of a home one and I explained to him why I felt a home one would give a better reading and stuff, so he agreed.
I could have had it done tomorrow! But said sorry busy elsewhere in the hospital, so I’ll go in next Thursday to be all hooked up and then I can sleep in my own bed. And then I have a review early April.

I also got the call from the hospital and I have to be there at 7:30am so I’ll get an uber.

Re: My Mosaic

Thats hard with your SW @Bow I know in the past she has talked a lot. Probably hard to get a word in. Sometimes you just want them to listen.

Good that you can do the sleep study at home hon. It will give a much more accurate reading if you are in your own bed. Hopefully you can get some answers from it.

Glad you have heard from the hospital. That's not too early at least. Is the hospital far from your house? How will you get home? Will your mum be able to get D to school? Oh, how did she do with walking home?

(Sorry for all the questions!)

I had gp at 9 this morning and had to go past the supermarket. Got in and got out before many were there. Didn't sleep well last night so not much done today.
