yep totally is the issue eh with holidays. Can’t really leave our brains at home. Unfortunately have to take all our mental health issues with us! It was like when I moved from tassie up to Sydney. At 20 I seriously thought I’d be able to leave my past behind a start a fresh. But nope. It musta secretly jumped into a box somewhere.

I’ve started a list of things we need to get done before Christmas… or more so Boxing Day for us cause that’s when family come over the lunch. And then we have a list to get done before the cruise.
Need to clean up a bit. I have a couple of door knobs I need to replace. Need to childproof our place cause my niece is 3 and she is real wild!

I can’t wait for Boxing Day to tell my D about the cruise! Mum slipped up today! She got extra toilet paper for… and named our house sitters and I stared at her shhhh!!

im anxiously waiting one final delivery! All stuff for the cruise. I have 7 tshirts to put iron on transfers on to as well. I’ve got little gift bags to put our pixie dust gifts into. I’ve been making so much stuff for it and I can’t wait to show my D!

I'm hoping your cruise will at least give you some moments of joy so you can enjoy it and at least put your MH issues in a locked box.

I hope you get the list done. I think our boxing day will just be recovering from Xmas day. Luckily all my nieces and nephews are older so no baby proofing my house.

Hopefully your niece doesn't get into too much trouble!

Oh I wish you could record D's reaction and post it on here! I can imagine she will be so excited. A once in a lifetime trip. I'm sure D will love every moment. Sounds like you have been really busy.

I don't think I told you that my kids went and got a photo with Santa taken yesterday and surprised me with it. Was so nice to get the photo. It made me cry!

Maybe I could symbolically put my mh junk in something and leave it at home @Snowie I’m hoping the Disney magic takes over and makes things a bit easier.

oh that’s nice of your kids! Just had a little giggle…. Remembered watching a video on social media recently, couple of kids would go get awkward Christmas photos done and then gift it to their parents each year. Parents always opened it with a little hesitation unsure what awkward pose their kids would be in!

I really didn't expect it so was a big surprise.

My psych often talks about putting my thoughts into a safe and locking it. I have tried a few times. Like anything, sometimes it helps, other times it fails.

I really hope that you can leave at least some of it behind and have an amazing time. You really do deserve it.

I crawled into bed ages ago. That helps a little bit to create some safety. It’s just really hot here, so a bit uncomfortable. Fans on. Got my lightweight fluffy blanket and Mr sloth. Despite taking my meds ages ago too, they are only just starting to kick in. I have noticed that when I’m really heightened like this and lots going on in my body, my meds aren’t as affective. Which is annoying cause it’s when I need them the most.

It sounds like you are doing all the right things to keep cozy and cool... I wonder if having something like a comfort TV show in the background would help? So that way you're encouraging relaxation but not frustratingly forcing sleep (it sometimes helps me!) 🤔

yeah I got some sleep eventually but by gosh I am so tired today. It was a super effort to get ready and out the door by 8:15am.
Shops weren’t too bad…. But we did get evacuated for 1/2hr. …. ‘ an incident has been identified please evacuate…’ repeat repeat and a really annoying alarm. I will admit it was a little scary considering what happened at Bondi. I was in target when it started and was waiting in the check out line. Had to just dump my arm full of stuff and leave. Eventually was allowed back in and they assured us the incident had been investigated and it was safe to presume normal activities. Alarm then went off again 5 mins later but they switched that off too.

Sitting on the couch now watching yet another Christmas movie. Think I need to get up and do something though. Feeling really restless.
