Urgh, support button not working again

Well done for getting out the door by 8:15am. That would have been a big effort.

Oh dear @Bow, getting evacuated wouldn't have been good. I hope you were able to go back into target and got what you had in your arms. Hoping you got everything you needed and don't have to go back to the shops.

I haven't watched a Christmas movie yet. Might have to put one on.

My day has been busy. Did the same thing and went out early. Got to the shops, bank and chemist. Came home and spent about an hour in the front yard weeding. We live on land so didn't get it all done but filled up the bin. Then I've cleaned the bathroom. Just laundry and toilet left. Then tomorrow I'll just do a quick clean ready for Christmas Day.

It's kept me occupied. I don't really want to stop and think. Scared if I do then those thoughts will come. Having a coffee now.

I gave up ages ago with the support button @Snowie it doesn’t work more than it does.

Yep all set now. Just need fresh bread and berries in the morning!

we watch a fair few Christmas movies. Between Netflix, b!nge, prime and Disney oh and Tubi, there are a lot to chose from. Mum watches the most.

look what I just collected from the letter box…..

 it has our luggage tags in it. Apparently it’s rare to actually get these cause they come from the states and they often arrive once you get back!

When do the house sitters get there? Do you meet them a few days before or just on the day?

I had the envelope next to me on the couch @Snowie and she came out of her room and I grabbed it quickly and turned it over and didn’t realise it has Disney cruise line plastered across the back too! lol not sure how much she seen.

they arrive the day before we leave and they come here to visit and see the house and stuff. We actually have this Alice in wonderland circus thingy to go to the afternoon before we leave. Had it booked for months already. Thankfully it’s a 1pm performance. And found out during the week that they are of course doing track work on the trains the day we leave. No way I’ll drive in and park. So have to leave much earlier to give ourselves plenty of time to get into the city.

I changed a door nob this arvo. Tidied up the garage and found the other lockable door nobs. We will put a lockable nob on my D’s room and put all our valuables and personal stuff. Put all my leftover Christmas and teacher stock away. And have now just helped D cook some cookies.

Thats good that you meet them the day before. At least you don't have to worry about the house and pets whilst you are gone, and hopefully just enjoy yourself.

It's good that you can put your valuables locked up. I know you've done your research about the house sitters, but I guess you can never be too sure.

That circus sounds nice. I hate driving into the city too and trying to find a park. Not worth it.

Cookies sound good too. I have a few desserts that I have to make tomorrow for Christmas Day.

Haven't done much this afternoon. Had a few things to do but could not be bothered. Ended up laying on the bed.

It’s scary… it’s frustrating

medical complications as a result of mental health conditions. And being stuck in the public health system means you gotta wait. I’ve been on the wait list since August last year for a procedure. Tried to tell them that things have gotten worse. But still waiting.

had a bad flare up tonight. Scary. But nothing I can do. Just have to wait.

I'm sorry about your flare up @Bow that must be hard

Waiting lists can be so long. Unless it's an emergency we seem to be waiting for ages.

thanks bit better today, but still concerning with going away.

Got out to the shops early this morning and got what I needed and back home.

back home to a lovely email from the real estate advising of a house inspection! I replied asking if we could reschedule cause we are going away and get an auto out of office reply! They aren’t even open today, last day was yesterday and not back until the 2nd. Our inspection was due at the beginning of December not January so seems they sneakily planned it this way.
