My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

@Bow you got this hun - tell Mr sloth to give you a hug from me hey? Hehe 😋

Yep was just about to let you know I won't be back till early Jan! I think you'll be on your cruise by then?

Have the BEST time, a splendid xmas with your fam, and yes I think some barefoot frolicking and skipping through nature is definitely on the cards! You're very sweet. Nighty night, and a splendid merrymas to you hun 💜

Re: My Mosaic

Good afternoon dear @Bow

Taken mum down the street this morning for a few last minute things. Went early so wasn't too bad.

Hoping I have everything now for Christmas day. Just have to pick up some bread rolls the day before.

Then I have been wrapping presents and thinking of you. Would not be as good as yours but they are wrapped!

I took your idea and put some money in a container with a funny pair of socks. Then did many layers with chocolates in between. Will have to tell you how it goes!

Finally just sat down with a coffee.

How are you? How is your day going?

Re: My Mosaic

Oh I love that your wrapped them like that @Snowie !

we went and did our groceries this morning, it was heaps busier than usual. And I’m now just sitting waiting for my SW to arrive. I wrapped a few more presents earlier too.

I painted this on a gift box for my SW yesterday. Her cat calendar is inside

we unfortunately do have to go to the shops tomorrow, but gonna get there on open.

im tired!

Re: My Mosaic

That gift box looks amazing @Bow

You have so much talent for art works

We got to the shops just when they were opening this morning.

Hopefully getting there early tomorrow will make it a little quieter.

I really hope that your SW can help hon, and you can at least let her know how you are doing.

I don't blame you for being tired, you have had to deal with so much lately.

Re: My Mosaic

Thanks @Snowie I’ll say it was hard to part with that gift box! I really liked how it turned out. My SW loved it and loved the calendar. She asked if she could give me a hug and I said absolutely!

It’s hard to talk really openly at home and I think my SW is far more conscious of it than I am. She knows that my mum is home…. Is always goes downstairs though, and she knew that my daughter is home now too. So she worries about my privacy and such. My mum wouldn’t hear anything cause she has hearing issues. My D…. I don’t know. But I think that’s why my SW doesn’t talk deep serious stuff much during home visits.

I won’t see her now until after we get back from our cruise. She’s working tomorrow, but is off chrissy eve. Back the 29th but that’s the day we leave.

Re: My Mosaic

I'm glad your SW visited you @Bow and she loved her present.

I get how hard it is to talk with your SW at home when others are around. It's nice that your mum gives you that space, but still hard, especially with D around. Never sure how much they listen and absorb.

I struggle with telehealth with my psych and pdoc. Even though I go into my room and close the door, I'm still unsure if H or my kids hear anything. I find I open up a lot more when it is at their office.

Are you seeing/speaking to her tomorrow?

It's hard over the holidays with our supports taking a break. I don't speak to/see mine for quite a bit now. Can you talk to her when you are on the cruise at all if needed? Or don't your phones work?

Re: My Mosaic

It’s often just so much easier to go do appointments wherever my supports are @Snowie I really don’t think mum listens in but yeah. My SW does mostly home visits, but we do meet out in the community and I can go to their office.

I’ll get a phone call from my SW tomorrow. She’ll probably be heaps busy. She’s just come back from a weeks leave and working Sun, Mon, Tues this week.

we won’t have phone reception once we are out at sea. But I think one of us with pay for wifi package just so our house sitters can contact us and our family. It’s ridiculously expensive though! I could ask if my SW can use WhatsApp on her work phone cause that way I can contact her if needed…. And I can call and check in on our shore days

ya doing anything tomorrow?

Re: My Mosaic

If you don't have to be 'careful' with what you say @Bow it might be better and easier for you.

I'm glad you will get a phone call, but I guess the same problem, with your Mum and D around.

Perhaps just being able to check in might benefit you. It's hard going on holidays. Wanting to really enjoy the experience but there is still that small part of you that has those thoughts.

Not much planned for tomorrow. Still need to clean bathroom, toilet and laundry. Will probably end up doing that tomorrow. I realised I've forgotten a few things of my list so will get up the street early.

Besides shopping, have you got much on?
