My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

Comfy clothes and couch sound great @Bow I'm sure you did lots of walking

I'm glad you had a good day in the city. Sounds like you found some good buys. You're going to need another book case for all you Alice books!!

Did you buy any lego for yourself or just D?

I'm ok. Just tired from early morning start and ECT. Only H and I for tea (both kids out for the night) so think it might be something very easy.

Re: My Mosaic

My new Alice book case is only half full @Snowie ! So much more space in my new one.

and yep, I got Lego! I got the new hibiscus set and the big Santa! So many really nice sets that I would love if I had space to put them!

Hope you’ve been able to rest today after ECT?

we’re just having a light dinner. D and I had a recent lunch in the city. We had grilled. Do you have that down there? D wanted sushi, but she will only eat the baby ones with just chicken inside and we couldn’t find any.

Re: My Mosaic

Well @Bow a very good excuse to go buy more Alice books then!!

Maybe you need another book case for all your lego. I have seen the hibiscus set but not the Santa. Will have to have a look at that one.

Came home from ECT and thought I'd just lay on the bed. Ended up having a nap. It was a very early morning. Where I have it is close to the city so have to deal with the traffic going in. I'm glad I don't have to do it every day.

We do have a grilled in the next town over. Have eaten there before. I really like their food.

Tea is toasted sandwiches!

Re: My Mosaic

Hehe I have found a secondhand book shop online and I have 15 Alice books in my cart @Snowie !

Naps after an early ECT is perfectly fine! I don’t ever drive into the city here. It’s too crazy. And parking is so expensive. After all the wall we did I was glad to sit down and do nothing for an hour on the way home. But I couldn’t do public transport into the city every day.

I love grilled burgers. My fav is the baabaa burger. But I just had a little slider today with the sweet potato chips.

I had some honey on toast for dinner and I put a tin of pineapple in the fridge. I absolutely love pineapple! And I like it cold. I accidentally ate a full tin the other night hehe

Re: My Mosaic

ohh that sounds like a good bookshop @Bow Just brought D another book case to hold all her books.

The ECT is just the other side of the city, so it would take even longer to get public transport.

I couldn't do trains everyday either.

Honey on toast sounds yummy, My favourite is vegemite and avocado on toast.

I can imagine you just sitting there eating the pineapple straight out of the tin!

Aloha peeps @Eve7 @Bow @Snowie

Great to see you all.

@Snowie , hope you rested up and feel a bit better now. I've never had ECT, so I'm always interested to read of your experiences. I hope you find it helpful to get through a rough patch.

@Eve7 How are you going? Any comps coming up?

@Bow , have you tried the kmart 'lego'? If so, how do you find it?

Re: My Mosaic

I’d imagine the 4 of us would have a lovely time going on a book shop crawl @Snowie

we have a secondhand book fair coming up in 2 weeks. A big charity shop. Tables and tables of books in 2 big indoor sporting halls. We went last year and had a great time!

I’ve never been a fan of vegemite.

hehe I try to stop at half a tin…. But the other night it was just so yummy!

are you doing much tomorrow?

Re: My Mosaic

@tyme I’ve got some of the little ones. Just flowers and animals. They are ok. Good alternative if you can’t afford the real stuff.

how’s the cricut going? Get any further with the rollers?

what happened to @Jynx ? Did they fall off their forums pillow? Wanted to show them something!

Re: My Mosaic

@tyme for me ECT seems to help, or at least keep me stable. I don't like the tiredness or memory loss I get from it, but I guess you have to compare the pros and cons of it.

It's not so bad at the moment as I'm only having it once every 4 weeks. When I was admitted and having it 3 times a week, that's where I felt the side effects more.

My pdoc wants to increase it to once every fortnight or week, but not really a fan of that.

I also have to think of the logistics and H too. H has to take a day of work to drive me in, wait around, then drive me home. Taking more time of work would be hard for him.

Oh that second hand book fair sounds amazing @Bow Just the type of thing D and I would go to.

I would love to go on a book crawl with you!

I like vegemite but only a little bit at a time

Not much on tomorrow. Will go see mum and probably take her to the shops.

Have you got any plans?

Re: My Mosaic

HOw long does one ECT session take @Snowie ?

I wonder if the only 'answer' is having those regular ECT sessions (more frequently than you'd been having before)?

It's hard to see when you are very down, and it seems that ECT is one of the only things that can shake things a bit.
