My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Also... you know the usual happened to me - Been sorting out documents, then had supervision and then trainings to catch up on - aka all the work caught up to my lil ADHD gremlin brain at once ahaha.

What did you wanna show us?

Oh so jealous of your nap @Snowie!

Re: My Mosaic

@tyme the ECT part doesn't take that long. When I've done it as an inpatient they normally take you to the waiting room (probably about a 20min wait), have the ECT then a nurse comes and collects you and takes you back to your room.

If you do it as an outpatient, I normally get there about 7:15am. They do all the checks before hand (bp, heart rate, covid test). They start ECT about 8am. Depending on how many people are waiting, the wait is only about 20-30 mins. They always do the outpatients first. Then you have the ECT, they wake you up and move you to an outpatient room. They normally let you go about 11am (once done bp, hr again). Then you have to have someone come and pick you up. Not allowed to go by yourself.

ECT has helped in the past which is why I think pdoc wants me to continue with it.

Re: My Mosaic

No way @Bow ! You caved! Too adorable though.

@Snowie Thank you to taking the time to explain. So it's about a half day thing. Are there long term ill effects of ECT if you have them too much?

Re: My Mosaic

@tyme by the time we get home it is very much a half day gone.

The only long term effect I have is memory loss. In the past it normally is when I go in as an inpatient. I have 12 sessions over 4 weeks. I'm sure there are other effects, but that's all that I seem to have. Sometimes I will get a headache but can normally deal with that quickly.

Re: My Mosaic

These are just fosters @tyme ill have the mumma and babies until the babies are weaned and then mum will go back to the clinic for desexing and then be put up for adoption. I’ll then keep the babies until they are big enough for desexing and then they’ll go back to the clinic.
I’ve been wanting to foster again, but my mh has been so unstable I didn’t want to commit to something I couldn’t see through… but maybe this will help? Give me a bit of purpose?
@Jynx too

Re: My Mosaic

I think it's wonderful to be honest. That sense of purpose is spot on. Knowing that you are needed. Knowing that you need to be there for the kitties and really keep someone well @Bow

Well done on taking this step.
