Irene has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease @tyme and tonight’s episodes have just finished and we have been told how she leaves. She is gonna go off traveling the world. Selling her house and go visit all the friends from the years.

yep Sally- Kate Ritchie she’s in radio now but I’m pretty sure she’s recently battled with mh issues and taken time off

I couldn't imagine spending your whole life on screen and not knowing any better... that's tough.

Yeah it’s a long time eh @tyme but I guess some people stay in the same field/job for their whole working life…. If it’s what they love and enjoy… and doesn’t feel like work?

But what happens it it's like Kate Ritchie who really wouldn't know much better?

It reminds me of that soap from years ago with those twins... the show had one baby in it, but they used twins so they could record... Full House? @Bow Do you remember it? Olsen twins!

Yep love that show too @tyme i actually got the whole dvd set and it came in a box the shape of a house. They did a reboot of it on Netflix called fuller house. Everyone returned except for the Olsen twins.

How funny we remember these strange things. But as I said, if you've been on a show from that age, would you know any better?

I shouldn't be raising contentious topics, but I get worried when kids are in the limelight too much. I find that they later go down down down... (that's not all kids), but I'm thinking of those just say on Australia's Got Talent etc.

OMG i cant believe Alf is still around?! Purely from the age! He's a classic character though, so im glad hes still around. 😅

I feel mixed about "child stars" too. I know some of them choose to do it / continue it because they like it. But yeah then sometimes there are also the parents who force them into it and its horrible. 😔

Most industries children arent allowed to work until ~14yo, but somehow its OK if its for TV/movie/advertisement entertainment... 🤔 never thought about that aspect of it before.
