My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

There are some interesting characters in here @Snowie .... there are a few of us out in the foyer using our phones this afternoon and I'm having a little bit of a laugh about a couple of girls arguing.

Re: My Mosaic

Last night I had such a horrible battle in my head over eating. I wanted to go down and have dinner but I could not bare to sit in a room full of people I did not know, all looking, starring at me, watching me eat. I became so distressed over the stupid situation that I had put myself in and the vicious cycle I am now in.
a nurse came and did her round and found me. I could barely find words for what was happening inside my head and I felt so stupid and ashamed to talk about it. She eventually managed to get a few words out of me and offered to bring me a yoghurt.
I'm tired today and feel really flat. I just want to go home and be in my own bed.

Re: My Mosaic

Thank you @Eve7

I've just been to the art class here. I've been doing a lot of painting in my room so thought it would be ok to attend this. We did some mindfulness. It was ok.

I also seen the dietitian here. I seen the same lady when I was in hospital just before Christmas. She is going to make sure I have lots of drink options and I need to try and eat dinner. She said she doesn't want to see me go home until I am eating a bit more... not that she has any control over it really. But yeah.

how are you dear @Eve7 ?

Re: My Mosaic

Well done going to the art class @Bow

I hope you get to have those extra drinks too. It’s hard being in hospital but it sounds as if you are making the most of it.

Ive been at work today and tonight I’m staying in a posh hotel with a family member who’s been up here working for a few days.

Take care 💜

Re: My Mosaic

Today is 4 yrs since I called it quits on my very unhappy marriage. It was over for months prior to this. He had a homosexual affair. He showed no signs of wanting to change and I was so incredibly unhappy that I said it was over. It still stings. It still hurts. He destroyed so much in me in those few short years that we were together.

Yesterday shortly after seeing the lovely dietitian I seen the stupid doctor that I seen in the ER Friday and he undid everything good that the dietitian said and did. I felt heard by the dietitian and understood. The doctor quizzed me, asking me the same stupid questions all over again. Invalidated all my eating issues saying that it's really strange to develop an Ed so late in life and could not understand why I started even though I went over it again and again. I'm fully aware that it's unusual to develop in late in life, but I have. It's the reason it took so long to get any help. I just didn't see the point in opening everything up to this doctor when he doesn't even try to understand. He tried to tell me that my bmi is fine and that I need to believe him, that just made me angrier. I told him that he was upsetting me. I nearly managed to get out then, but it was already 4pm so it was too late for a discharge. This morning hopefully!!!

I went to dinner last night. The dietitian said she would organise for me to be allowed to have a yoghurt. Nope. None. I felt so disappointed. I tried.
they started me on a number of vitamins this morning. And another lots of bloods.
I'll go find someone soon and asked what the plan is.
