Sounds like a busy day then @Bow 😊 Probably a good thing. I hope your morning commitments around you rMum were achieved successfully. You are probably at your midweek ladies group by now ... I'm glad you have started going again, because social connections are very important.
You didnt say what time your mental health nurse was coming today ... I'm thinking afternoon, given your other commitments this morning. I hope that proves to be productive and helpful. I'm really glad you have that support.
Interesting conversation ... re you being told that you made a conscious choice to be lonely. Not sure what context they were referencing in that assertion. Was it to do with divorcing your ex husband I wonder? Still, it sounds like that was hardly a matter of choice either ... for your own sake, that needed to end. Its a natural reaction to withdraw from society when we are struck down with MH problems. You see it all the time, so you are definitely not alone in that. But it does not mean you have actually chosen to be lonely. I dont think anyone actually WANTS to be alone or lonely. It more likely means we withdraw for self preservation and to hide from family and friends just how badly affected we are by our MH issues. Along with not wanting to burden others with our woes. So its also a way of protecting others from us. Does that make sense? Hope so.
So far today ... I have dropped Holly off to the vet for her ultrasound. Havent heard anything back yet, so it hopefully means they have not discovered any tumours on liver, kidney, etc. So they were then going to do further blood tests over a period of a few hours to test her adrenal function.
While in town dropping Holly off at the vets, I went to the supermarket to stock up on food supplies. The shelves were very limited, but I managed to get most of what I needed. Apparently they had received shipment of supplies this morning, so that was lucky. I also got to the chemist to collect hubbys medications ... stocked up again now.
I have just put a load of washing on the line to dry. It was building up over the past week, with it being constant heavy rain for each of the past 6 days. So I'm relieved to have that done. The sun is shining and a light breeze, perfect drying weather.
The roads into town are a total mess. Looks like someone has attacked them with a jackhammer. Flooding does so much damage. Really dangerous right now. And with only one road into the bigger town here now, with the main bridge closed due to flood damage, everyone is now having to come in via my local small village. So there is a stream of traffic banked up for kms up the highway, and trying to get through. I have to keep in mind the extra time needed to get anywhere right now.
Just given hubby an early lunch, with fresh bread rolls and cold meat from my shopping expedition this morning, and sitting here worrying about my little baby girl. I hope poor little Holly is okay. I know she will be fretting and anxious to get home. If I dont hear from the vet by 2pm, they suggested I call them. So I have to wait a while yet.
Just tagging a few others here too so I dont have to repeat elsewhere @Snowie @Eve7 @WIP @Anastasia 🌸
