Something’s not right

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

My Mosaic

I like mosaic art, I’ve never actually done any, but it intrigued me. Made up of hundreds of tiny pieces of stone, glass and ceramic. If you look at it close up it doesn’t really look like anything special, if anything it looks like a mess. But if you take a step back and view the whole picture- it’s a master piece. I guess it’s kind of like life. So many tiny parts, some messy if we look just at the one part. Some day i guess I’d hope that the mess of my life will at some point look half decent.

So here is part of my mosaic, bits and pieces kept tidy together 🙂

tagging you @Emelia8 cause you asked 🙂

Re: My Mosaic

This morning I had a zoom appointment with a well known Australian professor in eating disorders. She's done a lot of research, I've had a bit of a read of some of her work in recent weeks, it's really good.
I emailed her a bit a couple of weeks ago after my gp sent a referral to her, but then had trouble tracking down where she was practising out of, anyhow, she was able to fit me this morning. She was happy to confirm a diagnosis for me so that i can have access to more specialised treatment options, confirming OSFED atypical AN. All the extra letters simple because my bmi is currently within the normal range, this is why i have had so much trouble getting people to hear me and see my issues as real. i am still very much unwell and struggle, just not thin.

She said that as i have so many other people in my support team at the moment, it was probably not necessary that i keep seeing her, but would be happy to do so if i wanted to. i will discuss this with my gp, as i think i would prefer to see her than this psychiatrist that i have been seeing through the PHN via telehealth.

I see my psychologist thursday- second visit with her.

anyways, trying not to be around here much,so many others facing stuff, dont want to add to the issues around here... and feeling incrediable fragile at the moment, i need to stay out of hospital.

thinking of you all often.

Re: My Mosaic

Thats so encouraging that you are finally getting the specialised support you need @Bow 👍💗

Also that your very real concerns are now being heard and you have the official diagnosis needed to obtain additional help.

Its been a long, hard and frustrating road ... but things are now beginning to turn around in your favour.

Really happy and relieved for you. 😄
