Checking In

Checking In

Hi,

I'm not doing so well. Didn't have a good appointment with psychatrist today and because I am struggling, it is difficult for me to open up.

Sorry getting carried away w YouTube clips @oceangirl
Yes animals/pets not an easy subject. I had cat for 10 years then used to get people to look after it as 'went off to make a fortune' no one would do it in the so had to get her put down. A beautiful healthy ok old cat. And she stood on my lap driving to vets , paws on steering wheel and was perfectly calm in waiting room. Then they asked me to go in and hold her when they shaved her and gave needle. Was like like a balloon going down. I struggled for a while afterwards and still regret it now, but she had another 10 years after the pound and I had the best companion . I could just cry.

@TAB I do the same with youtube.

Its not easy when they get sick

I know you get what I am going through and the struggles I feel

Hi @oceangirl - it's really hard watching our furbabies suffer. What symptoms does Kira have? Would you consider a playmate for her, keeps 'em going longer I'm told. I lost both my 15yr old foxies 2016-17 heart failure. The Vet was so helpful. I couldn't stay and watch the needle. Know I should've but not since losing my girl. The vet was lovely with them both times. The last one was my girls pup. I have Georgia now, she was mums and such a little blessing. Sometimes I tell myself not to get too close to her in case dies too. But she has a way about her that just suck you in. Is Kira like that?

@Former-Member Its hard seeing her health deteriorate and it has been quite quickly. Kira has breathing problems, fainting and other issues. She fainted last night and this has been happening for a few weeks now. Her quality of life is declining and with that, I think I need to make a hard decision- not sure when that will be. I am taking it day by day. Kira is a white staffy and she has a little playmate- he is a french bulldog. I will talk more when I am up to it. Sorry I have not been sleeping too well because I have been up at night with Kira. The little girl had my heart the first time I saw her and we bonded cloasley on the first day. She is beautiful dog and she will always have a special place in my heart.

@TAB

Lack of sleep and what I am going through is probably causing it.
