Checking In

Checking In

Hi,

I'm not doing so well. Didn't have a good appointment with psychatrist today and because I am struggling, it is difficult for me to open up.

Re: Checking In

Hi @oceangirl

At times I've been sick with anxiety - nausea, dizziness and pains in my stomach.

I hope your nausea eases up. It's a horrible feeling.
The only food that I could tolerate is savoy biscuits. Peppermint or ginger tea.

Re: Checking In

@Bunniekins Have you had dinner sweetheart?

I probably cook some grilled steak and veggies for din dins.

I have powerade in the fridge I might have that before dinner.

Kira was a bit uncomfortable last night but she slept for a good while

Milo is checking on her now

I just wish I could open up more

I am scared of what others think too much

@oceangirl

Hugs for you and Kira and Milo

I have just caught up with your thread, and heard about your experience with opposite sex.

Edit this post, as interrupted by making dinner, and found you had tagged me about nausea. Having surgery changes a lot and I am not sure if it is a concern, or just having to make a new adjustment. I have had stuff like @Bunniekins and a kind of low grade long term nausea, that I mainly treated by that cure all ... ha ha ... water. Always having it with me and sipping. For many years there was so much going on, it was the only thing/healthy habit for me that I could add to my life.

Also hearing @MDT about current dating difficulties. It is sad that there is so much loneliness and difficulties finding good or at least compatible people for partnering. I guess it is worth holding onto some strong basic values that we do not compromise. Being alone can be better than hooking up all wrong. Mind you I am not romance expert far from it .... eye roll at me ...lol

The good side of all the info online is that we might be able to undersrtand ourselves and those others better than past generations who really often just had to keep going without working things thoroughly. @oceangirl Love yourself and keep a sense of worthiness. I hope one day, you find someone good. You deserve it.

Take care all of you.

@oceangirl Oh oceangirl I have so many demons. They keep me chained as I feel I cannot open up for fear of being ostracized by the sane community. I am no angel hunny. You can talk to me about anything within the guidelines.xxxx

Re: Checking In

Hi @BlueBay

I seem to eat ok I just don't like to drink too much fluids. But I have not eaten much the last day or so. It is a horrible feeling. I am not sure if its related to my stomach surgery in 2019. I do think its anxiety though. When I was in hospital I had peppermint tea and it did help me too. What made me feel worse was seeing Milo's specialist vet yesterday and he didn't seem to have too much compassion for Milo. I was feeling angry because he knows what Milo has been through- he has had four major surgeries (up until he is 6 months old) and neraly died at 6 months and still has ongoing medical problems. He had a bowel obstruction and the infection from this caused kidney damage. He was on a feeding tube for a few months after surgery. And after this had eye surgery and 6 months later- airway surgery. He has been through so much. Yesterday Milo was urine marking in the consult room and scrating the floor and the specialist vet said he never seen a dog do that before and that Milo was strange. And its really upset me and made me angry. I have tried my best with Milo and it seems its not good enough. But I know I went above and beyond for him. I just hope he has happy life and I am going to make sure of it. I wish I could express myself like you.
