Checking In
Hi,
I'm not doing so well. Didn't have a good appointment with psychatrist today and because I am struggling, it is difficult for me to open up.

Sorry to hear about your brother @TAB Is he okay? My dad was in his car when it happen and apparently the motor was on and the car had drifted back to the median strip. My mum was there but he had left my mum at the front of the bank and he had gone down to get lotto tickets and was going back to my mum but she went back into the bank to ask something. And then my mum went out and waited and then she went down to check on him and he was not at the newsagency and went back to the car and then she thought he was leaving because the car was moving (reversing) and she knocked on the window and knew something was wrong and went into the surfshop and ask them to call the ambulance. And lucky for my dad a Dr came out, lifeguard (my dad knows), nurse, security guard. They commenced CPR and security guard got the defib and someone shocked him 4 times and then when the paramedics arrived they did it another 4 times before they could transport him to hospital.
He was put on life support and had emergency angiogram that was clear. At times the Drs talk in another language, and its hard to understand what they mean. The arrhythmia he was having his dangerous and they are not sure what the underlying cause is. I guess because the causes can vary. I would say age is a factor and previous surgery to the heart. I feel a bit overwhelmed with what is happening. And they have said his heart my stop again and they will do all they can for him. I am praying he pulls through ok and has no lasting damage (heart or brain).

I am so sorry @oceangirl 💔
That must have been awful for your Mum. Reminds me of what I went through with my late husband back in April. I pray your Dad will pull through, without lasting damage. Do you have support around you? Its such a difficult time for you. 💞
